That's a pretty big "If," methinks.
But if I had to give an answer, I think it would mean that the Giants feel their best chance to win is with Eli.

It would mean that since Kurts reads the Bible too much, he has let his skills erode, while Eli, being an Atheist, has had more time to concentrate on honing his skills and thus has developed much quicker than the Giant's coaching staff ever thought he would. Of course the Giants' signing of Warner was all a part of the vast anti-Warner conspiracy, which indeed does run deep, but which was discovered by Brenda Warner, who then went to Archie and rubbed him the wrong way. Archie in turn then went to the Giants coaching staff and told them the Rams made the right decision and that Eli is ready to start, thus opening the door for Warner to be treated unfairly yet again.

Warner should be the starter, But if he isn't-the Rams weren't neccesarily right! Kurt Knows this Offense and with The Mouth out with back problems, It might have worked out with Kurt.......Oh well. For the time being the bulgerites can shine!

All prelim indications after the first exhibition game seems to point to Manning being the opening day starter for the Giants.
However, it's still too early to tell.
