Re: what team will vick play for next?

Raiders have a long and storied history of taking in troubled players and reclamation projects. Somewhat successfully, also.

I can't think of anyone who should be needing a starting QB in the near future, barring injury, at least any team which might be able to accomodate Vick's style. Granted teams are always looking to improve and there are some QB's who ought to be looking over their shoulder ....

Although Vick has denied any wrongdoing he has yet to do so in a court of law. Has he lied to a grand jury, or just to the Commish, his employer, his team mates and th epress? Assuming he is found guilty or pleads guilty of course.

Probably more like pleading no contest which in my understanding is not an admission of guilt.

Of course he can change his story. Criminal defendants do it all the time. thats what plea bargaining is about. He will change his story because of exactly the points you make, which is that the evidence against him is very strong, especially now that all three co-defendants have turned. If he goes to trial and loses, he is looking at several years in jail which ends his career in all liklihood.

I would cross out the Panthers, they are confident with the guys they have.
Oh I don't know.....I suppose every team is confident this time of year. But the Panthers have a zone blocking line, large possession receivers, and a 32-year-old QB. Vick would be worth a look, and being that close to his home in Virginia would be extra motivation for him to sign cheap.

Not saying that's his destination, just that it could be.

Entirely possible, but I just don't see it happening; Delhomme is 32 and Carr 29, they still have many years left. I just don't think they would go through that trouble of getting him.

I agree, I don't think teams will be lining up for this guy and his baggage,he may sell a few tickets for some team, but just think of all the negative it will also bring,I wouldn't bet against the fact he may have already played his last game.

How about arena football? Do they have strict rules regarding conduct of the players?

Re: what team will vick play for next?

He's unofficially gone for 2007 already. 2008 will also be an NFL suspension time if he's out of jail rather quickly. So basically you are making predictions for 2009 at the earliest and that's virtually impossible. He'll still be young in 2009 so teams will take a crack at him but nobody is going to give him starters money and build a team around a guy like that. What a public relations nightmare.
