Neither of these moves are worrying in the slightest. Allen is on the downhill slope of a glorious career and Ashworth is servicable.

The NFC west is turning into the NFL's honeypot these days though isn't it? We're going to need a separate programme for all the personnel changes.

I agree that alone these moves aren't anything to worry about, but both are solid pickups. Ashworth is indeed servicable and Allen was a starter in the Pro Bowl.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports free agent OG Larry Allen (Cowboys) signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco ***** believed to be worth between $4 million and $5 million per year. The deal is contingent upon Allen passing a physical and then signing the contract.
