Wow. Just wow. You might be able to forgive the pro fumble if Jackson wasn't doing this at a high school level, too. Looks like he puts way too much thought in showboating and not enough into ensuring he actually gets the touchdown. The guy has been producing on the field like few other rookie receivers have to start their career, but I think you have to question this guy's attitude based on this stuff.

that's a tough call, Nick, even knowing what we know now. I hate showboaters and was laughing at him like the rest of the world but he is a darned good WR and he's on the field producing. And, if you get right down to it, his gaffe wasn't actually costly. Very cheap lesson for him to learn(maybe). You just never know what will make the light go on and this latest incident might actually benefit him in the long run. The guy's 4th in the league in yardage right now as a rookie as an Eagle(!). You'd really not take that over the Donnie Avery project?
I don't know Jackson's history but I'd certainly tolerate showboating if it doesn't include thuggery.

Yeah, I'm not at all of the same opinion as you Nick. Jackson, is top two in the rookie WR class of which all were still there when we selected Burton. Jackson is the one I wanted... and now its not making it any easier that we never took him. Avery had better shine soon.

While nobody can prove or disprove these hypotheticals, I'm fairly confident that Jackson, if here, would have minimal production, while Avery, if in Philly (and healthy), would be putting up good numbers.
I would have been happy with either player in the second round. That has not changed.

Yeah, the part of your statement worth highlighting is the "as an Eagle" phrase. You can't just take one guy's production from one team and expect it to be equal on a different team with different personnel.
Jackson has shown he can be a weapon, just as Avery and Burton showed they could be weapons during limited action in the preseason. But I think it's clear the Rams are looking for and need players with high character, guys who are hard workers, and who are team players.
Based on these stunts, I'm not convinced Jackson fits that full description.

You guys aren't suggesting that Philadelphia is now a haven for WR's? Their team may be better than the Rams but the fact that a rookie WR is excelling for them is worth praise. And, I would think that Jackson would have a much better chance of producing if he were a Ram because he's actually on the field. Avery may be the best thing since sliced bread but he's never on the field for us to find out.
Is Jackson actually a bad character? Or is he just immature?

No, we're suggesting that you can't simply assume Jackson would be as productive here as he has been on another team that employs a different offensive system with different personnel.

I don't see your point. Is he not "actually on the field" in Philly? He's started two games right now for the Eagles. I don't think it's a guarantee he would have started the last two games for the Rams, so wouldn't his chances of producing be better for Philadelphia?
