Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Green Bay Packers have reached a seven-year deal with free agent CB Charles Woodson (Raiders) worth around $45 million. While the deal has been agreed to, Woodson has yet to sign the deal.

Sheer desparation. Why would they go so far to mortgage their future when they arent going to win it all anyway even if farve comes back. This is a classic example of a team mortgaging its future for a chance just to make the playoffs, rather than to win a title. They will be sorry later.

word around town is that he is getting $10.5 million in the first year
the packers were going to be in trouble for being under the team salary minimum, but i suppose this ends that.
