Let's help Yodude win his first round playoff matchup
I could use a little help. This is my first year playing FF and I'm not doing that great but I managed to make the playoffs. I could use a little help with who to start this weekend. Here's the situation:
My QB's are Vick, Collins and Carr. Carr has been way too inconsistent to start in my opinion. Collins has finally mastered the Raider's offense and has been on fire but he just lost his favorite receiver for the season (Curry). Vick is coming off a very bad game against the Bucs but the Raiders defense leaves alot to be desired.
As far as running backs and wide receivers go, we have to play some combination of 4, but you have to have at least one RB and one WR, ie., you can play 1 RB and 3 WR's, 2 of each or 3 RB's and 1 WR.
Here's who I have:
RB - Curtis Martin, Willis McGahee, Kevin Jones and Steven Jackson.
WR - Torry Holt, Brandon Stokley, Roy Williams, Larry Fitzgerald and Antonio Bryant.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Let's help Yodude win his first round playoff matchup
Your sure-fire starters are Willis McGahee against Cleveland's horrible rushing defense (29th in the league) and Brandon Stokley at Houston. The Texans' defense has allowed the most passing TD's in the NFL.
David Carr is the most inconsistent of your quarterbacks, and Vick was shut out last week, so Kerry Collins is your safe choice at QB. Even though he lost Ronald Curry, he's still got my boy Jerry Porter to throw to. It's a hard pick, though, given the pudding defenses Carr and Vick are facing.
Curtis Martin, Kevin Jones, and Steven Jackson are all playing tough games, but Jones has been hot and the Packers' rushing defense isn't as intimidating as the Steelers and Panthers.
Joe Horn ate up Carolina's secondary last week with 160 receiving yards, the same number Torry had, so Holt could be in for a repeat performance. Antonio Bryant's posted two straight 100-yard 2-touchdown games for the Dawgs. Roy Williams and Larry Fitzgerald are the leftover scraps, so keep them on the bench.
Aside from Willis McGahee, all of these starters are playing tough games on the road, so it's hard for me to give you a concrete lineup, but in the playoffs, you've gotta go with your dependables:
QB: Kerry Collins
RB: Willis McGahee
RB: Kevin Jones
WR: Brandon Stokley
WR: Torry Holt
If you're feeling feisty:
QB: Michael Vick
RB: Willis McGahee
WR: Brandon Stokley
WR: Torry Holt
WR: Antonio BryantLast edited by evil disco man; -12-11-2004 at 01:19 AM.
