Anyone plan on opening a league?

The annual ClanRam Cup will open sometime soon. Last year we had three divisions, all of 12 players, on a yahoo league. Evil Disco Man usually runs them so I'd wait to hear what he has to say.

EDM not running a fantasy league this year due to personal reasons...someone else want to step up? DEZ...what's the word on "official" Clanram fantasy league?

I would, but I'm entering the 'hectic exam phase' of the final year of the Australian Schooling system. Basically they beat us about the head with a succession of pre-trials, trials, and then finals over a period of about 8 weeks. To coincide with the start of the season...of course.

Plus, I'm shoddy with time differences, being all the way down here. Perhaps one of our fine mods could hook it up?

Okay, so the problem I'm having right now is that in order to create the three leagues (Blue, Gold, White), I have to have a team on each one. Yahoo apparently won't let me create a league without a team in it - or if they will, I don't know how to do it.

I only want my team in one league. Does this mean I have to have someone else be the commish for the other two leagues and have that person set it up? Or am I missing something?

Right now the Blue league is created, BTW.

Correct last year Disco, me and someone else commishioned the three seperate leagues, and we coordinated the rules and settings. Just make sure whoever you get is going to be very active, since last year the other person was not and it caused problems. If you need help, I'll be happy to do it again.

We should make sure there's still enough interest for a full three leagues. I'd volunteer to be commissioner for the third, but I'm starting a new job in just about a week and don't know how much that will affect my availability to deal with anything that comes up in the league. In any case, I'd like to join one of the leagues if we get this up and running again.

You need to get a good head count before you set up three leagues. We had trouble filling all the slots last year and then we had people go MIA during the season.

I bet if someone posted notice on the Ramtalk board there would several more people interested. I am sure not as many people visit the Fantasy board, I didn't even know it existed for the first few months, I mainly just visted this sight for Ram news at first.

Maybe just put a sticky thread up for the next week so more people will know whats going on.
