Re: 2005-2006 Bowl Projections
On one hand, it's exciting to see us going to a bowl (or at least projected) and especially against a noted program like Bowden and FSU.CHAMPS SPORTS BOWL - Orlando, Florida
December 27, 2005 ESPN
Florida Citrus Bowl: 65,438
ACC No. 4 or 5 vs. Big 12 No. 7
CFN Projection: Florida State vs. Missouri
But on the other hand.......
Of the (I believe) 119 I-A teams in the country, 56 of them (that is to say nearly half) are playing in a bowl.
But hey, a bowl is a bowl, so I'll gladly take it."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Yea, there's nothing to do in such a beautiful city as San Antonio.

Why is it harsh and disrespectful?

Iowa deserves better and I wouldn't be suprised if they end up playing in the Outback Bowl. The people who sponsor it wanna have 2 teams that will get alt of money and Iowa fans travel very well.

I've wondered the same question, but then again the Big 10 is a mixed salad once you get past PSU and OSU.

If you ask me, Michigan's death nail was that Minnesota loss at home."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
