What is a plus for Willingham is that he comes from Stanford, also well respected academically. I think what hurts ND is its greed for money and remaining an Independent. ND needs a conference to establish rivals and edges in recruiting. I do believe that ND's Dome is tarnished, and recruits don't really consider ND a school they have passion for.
