Cool obscure bowl games this year
Here are a few entertaining games to view this year outside of the BCS:
1. East Carolina - Marshall in the GMAC Bowl Dec. 19
2. Stanford - Ga Tech in the Seattle Bowl Dec. 27
3. Washington - Texas in the Holiday Bowl Dec. 28
4. Washington St. - Purdue in the Wells Fargo Sun Bowl Dec. 31
5. Fresno St - Michigan St in the Silicon Valley Classic Dec. 31

Pretty cool Marshall - ECU game. 64-61 in 2OTs? They both outscored the Miami Heat that night.

If that is true that both of them outscored the heat then i am ashamed to be a basketball fan. Of course being me and having to get up to start the day at 6AM and then leave at 6:30 and not getting home untill 8:30PM i am out of the sports loop. BUt anyways it was a great high scoring game. Well played by both teams

Ga Tech Yellow Jackets just stung the #11 team in the nation Stanford 24-14. Great defensive job by Ga Tech. Stanford looked confused on most every drive.
What to look for in the Texas - Washington game is the Huskies O against the Texas D.
Also, keep an eye on these two players from Texas:
Roy Williams - Sophmore WR
Quentin Jammer - Senior DB
Jammer is the best secondary player in college football this year. Roy Williams is a Lynn Swann look alike.

i saw some of that game, i have a hard time getting into these early games. I got the Independence Bowl on now and it's 14-13 with 1:42 so i'll probably watch the rest of this. The Bowls are getting better but there's still too many of them...

Great ending to Major Applewhite's career at Texas. What a fourth quarter. Major dosen't have the arm strength to make it in the NFL, but he has more heart than Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Cris Carter put together plus some.
Tell me this, why is Cincinnati and Toledo playing in a bowl game?

Toledo can actuallly ball ... check out Chester Taylor. He is a very fluid "natural" RB that , if drafted by the right team, could prosper in that " Ronnie Harmon, Travis Minor 3rd back plus a little bit more" role. Nice footwork, soft hands and a pretty good blocker, as well.
Anyone see the clock mismanagement by UGA ??? That's twice this year ........ the dangers of a first year HC ........... Richt will do really well there, though ........ growing pains ........

Toledo deserves to be in a bowl game after winning their conference from Marshall. I didn't think Cincinnati deserved it until now as they are beating the Rockets pretty easily.
The coach at Toledo has done a good job and should keep them competitive for a while.
