Dale Robinson Named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week

Senior LB recorded 15 tackles vs. LSU

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Linebacker Dale Robinson of Arizona State, Wide receiver Robert Jordan of California, and kicker Paul Martinez of Oregon have been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Players of the Week.

Robinson, a senior from Queens, N.Y., had a big game in Arizona State's loss to No. 5-ranked LSU in a game moved to Tempe as a result of the effects of Hurricane Katrina and with the proceeds going to relief funds. Robinson had a game-high 15 tackles, 11 solo, including 2.5 tackles for loss (-11), one quarterback sack (-9) and he forced a fumble.

Others nominated for offensive player of the week honors were running back Mike Bell of Arizona and quarterbacks Matt Moore of Oregon State, Alex Brink of Washington State, Drew Olson of UCLA, Kellen Clemens of Oregon and Sam Keller of Arizona State. Also nominated on defense were linebackers Keith Ellison of Oregon State, Dane Krogstad of Arizona and Justin London of UCLA, linemen Adam Braidwood of Washington State and Haloti Ngata of Oregon and cornerback Daymeion Hughes of California. Nominated for special teams play were kicker Alexis Serna of Oregon State, punter Danny Baugher of Arizona and return men Michael Bumpus of Washington State, T.J. Rushing of Stanford and Maurice Drew of UCLA, all of whom returned kicks for touchdowns.
