Florida State's Gator Bowl Ticket Sales Top 10,000

The FSU ticket office has approximately 2,500 tickets remaining.

Dec. 10, 2004

Florida State ticket manager Patrick Martin announced Friday that Florida State fans have already purchased more than 10,000 tickets to the Seminoles' January 1st Gator Bowl game against West Virginia in Alltel Stadium. The FSU ticket office has approximately 2,500 tickets remaining for the game and they can be purchased either on-line at www.seminoles.com or by phone at 1-888-FSU-NOLE.

"We are very happy that ticket sales have gone so well and we encourage fans that have not yet purchased tickets to go ahead and get them in advance," said Martin. "We are pleased that we have sold more than 10,000 tickets at this point and we're hopeful that we can sell out our complete allotment as we get closer to the game."

Florida State sold out of their 15,000 tickets to last year's Orange Bowl game against Miami. The Seminoles also completely sold out for the 2002 Sugar Bowl against Georgia, the 2001 Orange Bowl against Oklahoma and the 1999 Sugar Bowl against Virginia Tech. The 2001 Gator Bowl that featured Florida State against Virginia Tech drew over 72,000 fans to Alltel Stadium.

Florida State's Gator Bowl tickets are $40.00 each and will be available until all quantities are sold.
