New Mexico outlasts Missouri 45-35; Lobos, Falcons and Utes off to 2-0 start

The MWC posted a 5-2 mark in non-conference action last week, highlighted by New Mexico's 45-35 victory at Missouri. A week removed from its win at Oklahoma, TCU was stunned by SMU, 21-10, in Dallas. BYU, UNLV, Utah and Wyoming also posted non-league wins, while Colorado State lost at Minnesota. In conference play, Air Force defeated San Diego State 41-29. Overall, the MWC is 8-6 in non-conference play this season.

Coming up this week, TCU hosts its first-ever MWC contest as Utah visits Amon G. Carter Stadium for a Thursday (Sept. 15) tilt on ESPN. Wyoming also visits Air Force for MWC play, while New Mexico, San Diego State and UNLV have non-conference games.
