The Oklahoma Sooners Football Thread
Some of us Rams fans have the fortune of being Oklahoma Sooners fans. BOOMER SOONER!
With USC losing last night and if the Sooners can not let the TCU game be a trap game, we should emerge #1 on Sunday evening.
We are fast approaching the showdown with the Longhorns of Baja Oklahoma (the OU flag is the 7th flag over Texas). Is anyone going to that game? If so, what are tickets running?
Who will be our biggest threats in our quest for another Big XII championship?

Re: The Oklahoma Sooners Football Thread
It's hard to sasy who will challenge you guys, notice my location, so I would like to say Mizzou but we had 2 shots last year and could'nt do it so I can't realy talk any smack. Congrats you guys should be #1 come Sun night since everyone in the top 5 except LSU got their butts handed to them. With that being said don't be surprised if you guys get screwed since the sportswriters all think the SEC is the only conference in college football. I listened to a national sports show the other day on the radio and all I heard was how great LSU, Georgia, Auburn and Florida were and I'm like you have got to be kidding me, I would put Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and Texas up against any of those teams any day. The big 12 is starting to get some national respect but not nearly enough IMO.

Re: The Oklahoma Sooners Football Thread
Thanks!
TCU did shutdown our run game this evening. Either Stoops didn't want to tip our hand or TCU played run defense that well. However, the passing game was pretty good. Our special teams allowed some big runs so that is another problem to fix.
Chase Daniels is a Heisman candidate this year and Mizzou looks tough despite the opening game against the Illini. The Illini were tied with Penn State when I saw the score about an hour ago.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: The Oklahoma Sooners Football Thread
Congrats on going to#1. Here I thought the Sooners may get hosed by the writers but instead it was my Tigers. Bama #2 and LSU #3 give me a break. Congrats again and good luck.

Re: The Oklahoma Sooners Football Thread
So far on ebay, OU-Tex tix are going for probably $300 each for OU side... even upper decks... texas side are more plentiful and less expensive..... so if you can stand sitting with them for a quarter or two, until they start the long walk of shame home, you might get a good deal buying tix on the texas side.

Re: The Oklahoma Sooners Football Thread
We play the Baylor Bears tomorrow. Although we should win handily, I want to see the run game perform much better this week.
