Owls Prep for the Cardinals
FAU will face 24th ranked Louisville on Saturday
Sept. 25, 2005
BOCA RATON, FL -- After dropping its conference opener to Lousiana-Monroe on Thursday, Florida Atlantic University began its preparation for Louisville on Sunday afternoon.
The Owls offense looked very efficient during drills on Sunday. Tight end Darrion Porter-Isom showed his ability to get open as he caught five passes during scrimmage play.
Wide out Jason Harmon connected with quarterback Rusty Smith on a two-yard touchdown pass on a designed bootleg.
The Owls will be facing their final non-conference opponent of the season this Saturday when they take the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals (2-1) lost to the University of South Florida on Saturday 45-14. With the lost Lousiville dropped from ninth to 24th in the Top 25 AP Poll.
Florida Atlantic knows that the Cardinals will present a tough challenge this week. "We got to go out and work hard," wide receiver Thomas Parker said.
The Owls will be off on Monday and return the practice field on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
