Rock falls by 38-26 margin to No. 25 Edinboro

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Andre Burke rushed for 220 yards and one touchdown Saturday afternoon to lead visiting No. 25 Edinboro to a 38-26 win over Slippery Rock in NCAA Division II, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division football action.
With the win, Edinboro improved its records to 6-2 overall and tied for first place in the PSAC-West with a 4-1 record.
The Rock lost for the fourth successive week and fell to 3-6, 1-3.
Edinboro finished the game with 450 yards in total offense (280 rushing, 170 passing), while The Rock had 365 (160 rushing, 205 passing).
Edinboro quarterback Justin Bouch was 16 of 28 passing for 170 yards and three TDs while Justin Lipscomb had five catches for 51 yards, including a three-yard TD.
Nate Eimer caught an 18-yard TD pass for the Fighting Scots and Kody Robertson booted three field goals (31, 20 and 37 yards) and was three of four on extra point kicks.
The Rock was led by Brandon Richardson's six pass receptions for 100 yards and one TD. SRU quarterback Nate Crookshank completed 16 of 25 passes for 166 yards and one TD, but was intercepted three times. Crookshank also rushed for a TD. Backup QB A.J. Ruperto was 3 of 6 for 39 yards and one TD.
Rock running back Josh Kniess had 89 yards on 21 carries and also had a 59-yard punt return for a TD. Nick Carimi caught a 27-yard pass for the game's final TD.
The Rock travels to PSAC-West co-leader Shippensburg next Saturday while Edinboro visits Kutztown for a PSAC interdivisional game.
