Texas or USC?

Man, it seems that no one is giving Texas much of a chance against USC. I just don't get it. Texas has been pretty much dominant all year while USC has had a few close calls, namely ASU, ND and Fresno St.

Does anyone think Texas can get it done?

Texas is going to win this game for one reason....defense.

Yep, Texas has got it, USC does not. They may have slowed down UCLA, but they still rank 27th in team defense and 40th in yards per game allowed. I think Texas exposes USC and stops the streak.

Re: Texas or USC?

USC gives up a touchdown more per game than Texas and they played in a down PAC 10 this year. However, they are still USC so that's all that counts. Texas has to force USC to punt at least twice more than the Horns. If they do that, Texas is your National Champion. If they don't, USC wins an unprecedented third National Championship.

Texas for sure will win this game. If reggie Bush gets the plague, Lineheart hurts his ankle during his ball room dancing final, and pete Carroll decides to start his NFL coaching job early.

Re: Texas or USC?

I think it will be a good game but I also think that USC will win. I also think that Texas' defense is a bit overrated. They are good but how many offensive minded teams did they play this year, probably not much at all and they definitely haven't played a team with an offense like USC. If I remember right, wasn't Oklahoma's defense supposed to dominate USC last year and that didn't happen.

I dont think that the texas d is overrated at all. I think there offense is very overrated. Vince Young has carried them on the ground and in the air. USC has it. As much as I want texas. As a ucla fan its just not gonna happen lets be realistic people they dont stand a chance
SC 57

Re: Texas or USC?

Love the fact that hardly anyone is giving Texas a chance. Keep coming with the negativity.

Texas will be the National Champions after the Rose Bowl of 2006.

And another thing, Texas Tech has a fairly potent offense don't they? and Texas hasn't played anyone? Really? What do you call going to Ohio State and winning that game?

You SoCal folks selling these Horns short just wait, you'll see.

Oh Im not selling them short at all. I think they are a great team. I just think that SC has basically a nfl team. Texas will not stop them. Believe me i want Texas I hate SC I am a UCLA fan. But its just not gonna happen. I would put money on that and give you the points. The spreads at 7? Thats a WHOLE touchdown!

Re: Texas or USC?

I'll take 7.....this team is different from OU last year. Vince Young can scramble, and the WR's for Texas are big and fast.

We'll see.

Hey Tx, not all SoCal folks are selling Texas short. I think Texas is going to take it to SC. To me, they are dominant on both sides of the ball and SC isn't going to know what hit them. If Fresno State and ASU can give the mighty Trojans a game, Texas certainly can.

That's why I use the Kasey Keller avatar. I'm sure that he meant UT when he was doing that.....
