USF Looks real
Last weekend the Saturday before the RAMS game I went to. I went to Raymond James Stadium to watch USF play North Carolina. USF dominated the whole game. I knew NC wasn't that good but I never expected USF to beat them so badly. I didn't really know much about USF and the fact that they were ranked #23 going into the NC game.
Well tonight I'm watching 18th ranked USF beating #5 ranked WV 21-6 in the 3rd quarter.. I guess this USF team is for real.

Re: USF Looks real

USF played one hell of a game and deserve all the credit in the world for a well deserved win. WVU didn't play as if they wanted this victory, IMO. Couldn't protect the ball in large part thanks to some great hits from USF, just did not look like they had their heads in the game. Offensive line got dominated for most of the game, and Mike Dent picked a great week to forget how to snap the ball to a QB in the shotgun. The defense stood out and forced some turnovers, but the offense couldn't do much against this quick USF defense.
Very disappointing loss. We knew this was going to be a tough game and came out completely flat, didn't seem to have anything prepared to counter what we already knew about this South Florida team.

2 carries for Slaton in the second half? Not sure that was a good strategy.

Re: USF Looks real
How about the overall Sunshine State college football picture?
UF
FSU
UM
USF
and even UCF
Is there a state that even comes close in terms of the number of quality programs?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: USF Looks real
Avenger, I wouldn't exactly at this time that all of the above mentioned programs are "quality". And yes, California would give Florida a run for their money.

Well maybe not! But how about the fact that one of the smallest States, LA, has the No. 1 team with players mostly from LA?
LSU the No.1 Team per the AP Poll!!!

Re: USF Looks real
And after losing to Rutgers on the road tonight, the USF Bulls are in for a "real" drop down the polls. Thanks, Rutgers!

I wondered when Cinderella would get left at home. Looks like the fairy tale ends in Jersey.
