For baseball Cardinals fans....
...this may be some of the best starting pitchers the Redbirds have had in...well maybe ever.
There are 14 teams in MLB that have a 12+ win pitcher. One team has two 12+ win pitchers (White Sox). The Cards have no less than 4!

Re: For baseball Cardinals fans....
Chris Carpenter is having the season of his life, and can barely get a sniff at the Cy Yound Award talk.

I agree, but it's hard to argue with the job Clemens is doing. Carpenter has him in a lot of categories (wins, team wins, CGs, shutouts, IPs, less walks, more Ks), but you just know the voters aren't going to look past a 1.32 ERA attached to the name "Clemens".

So Taguchi, John Rodriguez, Mike Mahoney, Abraham Nunez, John Mabry......names that only Cardinals fans can relate to this year, but names that are so important to this remarkable year.

If you'd have told me in March than Walker, Rolen, Sanders & Molina would go down for a large part of the season AND we'd have the best record in baseball in the middle of August.....I'd had you committed.

Re: For baseball Cardinals fans....
Well, it helps the Cardinals that Clemens had to pitch 3 innings out of the bullpen to win the game and clinch the series against Atlanta.
I'm glad Houston had to almost empty their bench.
