    Go dodgers!!!

The Dodgers won last night by a score of 5-3 against the Cardinals.

The Cardinals and Dodgers broke the left-on-base mark by stranding 30 combined runners for a playoff record.

The Dodgers used 5 pitchers from the bullpen for 5 1/3 innings of relief after Wolf got in some trouble early.

The Dodgers won Game 2 after a strong 9th inning. Matt Holiday of the cards committed an error by attempting to field a ball with his testicles - that didn't work so well for him. Instead of the third out, the Dodgers got some hits and a a cards wild pitch to win the game.

Next game is in STL at 3 PM on Saturday.

    Re: Go dodgers!!!

The last I saw, the game is 3:07 CST.

I do not know who the pitchers will be yet. Here is what I found on the probable pitchers:

    Scouting Report:
Dodgers: Sometimes you get more than you pay for. Vicente Padilla came to the Dodgers almost for free and maybe all he needed was a change of scenery. Released by the Rangers with a reputation for being a bad apple, he's been a model citizen in the Dodgers clubhouse. More importantly, he went 4-0 with a 3.20 ERA in seven starts and finished up with 10 strikeouts in five innings against the Rockies. He throws hard, has a variety of pitches and attacks hitters with confidence. And despite a reputation as a head hunter, he didn't hit any opposing batters in 39 1/3 innings after hitting eight in 108 innings with Texas and 99 in his career.
Cardinals: Pineiro is not coming into the playoffs on a roll. He hasn't been bad, at least not usually, but he hasn't been nearly as good over the past five weeks as he was earlier in the year. Pineiro allowed four or more runs in five of his final seven starts, as his walk rate regressed from microscopic to merely impressive. One benefit, however, of the Cardinals opening on the road is that Pineiro will pitch at home. He's been quite a bit more impressive at Busch Stadium than on the road.

The Dodgers are on the verge of winning the series against the Cardinals....2 outs left with a 5-1 score. Phillies and Rockies have been postponed due to snow.

    No, no, no...

An all LA (OC) World Series would be great. Dodgers / Angels in the World Series is a dream come true for me. Everyone knows the Angels have the Yankees number in the playoffs. They're about to eliminate the hated Red Sox and the Yankees are next.

    Go Angels!

I'm still very surprised that the Dodgers beat the Cardinals nevermind sweeping them. In years past the Cardinals always seem to find a way to eliminate the Dodgers.

The Phillies will be tough as they were last season. (Beat the Dodgers 4 games to 1) But again after seeing how they played the Cardinals I have high hopes.

Dodgers vs Yankees (Joe Torre former Yankees manager)

Dodgers vs Angels (The battle of L.A. and Mike Sciosca played the Dodgers)

    Interesting story lines either way.

    Re: Go dodgers!!!

Carlos Ruiz keyed a five-run fifth inning off Clayton Kershaw with a three-run homer and, after the Dodgers pulled to within a run, reliever George Sherrill allowed a three-run blast to Raul Ibanez in the eighth as the Dodgers absorbed an 8-6 loss in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Thursday night.
I could not believe that Torre left in Kershaw all through the 5th inning. The 5th inning really cost us the game.
