Heat Talking To Lakers About Shaq?

There are some rumors floating around that the Heat are talking to the Lakers about Shaq. The supposed offer on the table is Brian Grant, Lamar Odom and a first round pick.

That would be awesome!

It would give the Heat a starting 5 of:

C: Shaq
PF: Udonis Halsem
SF: Caron Butler
SG: Eddie Jones
PG: Dwayne Wade

Here's hoping!

Cool Re: Heat Talking To Lakers About Shaq?

I wonder if the heat could get shaq to shoot free throws underhanded? Either way, look for an overall drop in percentage of successful team free throw attempts.

Re: Heat Talking To Lakers About Shaq?

I don't think Wade will be part of the picture, and it probably will be Lamar Odom instead of Eddie Jones. Jones already had a stint in LA.

Re: Heat Talking To Lakers About Shaq?

Well, it looks like its going to happen for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and Brian Grant.

That gives the Heat a core of Shaquille O'Neal, Dwayne Wade and Eddie Jones. If they get some dent role players around them, the Heat should be a factor in the East.

Re: Heat Talking To Lakers About Shaq?

I'm sure attendance will be up a lot, but how hard will Shaq really want to work. i've heard he'll want to prove the lakers wrong and all that stuff, but I don't buy it. The Heat are a young, improving team that should do great in a horrible new division. The Lakers will surely suck next year. The Heat are giving up their future for a presumed better present. Not smart IMO
