LAKERS #1 seed in the WEST
I would love to see a Lakers vs Celtics final. Lakers have a very tough road to the finals though as the WEST is loaded with very good playoff teams.
I would also like to see SHAQ and the Suns knock off the Spurs.
There is a potential for a Lakers (KOBE) vs SUNS (SHAQ) series. Wouldn't the NBA love that.

The west is a beast of a conference this year, whoever makes it to the finals will have certainly had to beat the best. In the east it's hard to look past the Celtics to take it although a case could be made for the Pistons..

Re: LAKERS #1 seed in the WEST
I'm a huge Cavs fan, and I'd love to see a Lakers vs. Cavs Finals. Kobe and LeBron, squaring off....that would be one phenomenal series.
Although at this point, it looks a little bleak for the Cavs, because we'd have to get through the Wizards, Celtics and Pistons just to get to the Finals again. Whereas the Lakers are playing a lot better, and at least for the first round, have a straightforward match-up against Denver.
I can see the Lakers going VERY deep into the postseason. Should be interesting to see how things pan out.

Well the Lakers swept the Nuggets under the rug! The fork has been officially administered...Nuggets = DONE!

Who's next?

Impressive that the Lakers swept the Nuggets and defeated them 7 times this season. Utah or Houston up next. Boston aren't having it all their own way against Atlanta, I have to admit after they went 2-0 down I expected them to be swept or possibly win 1 game. Still expect the Celtics to advance but credit to the Hawks for fighting them all the way..

The title is still held 65 miles south of me in Thoey town of San Antonio. The Lakers must beat the Spurs to be the best.
We shall see.

Re: LAKERS #1 seed in the WEST
Well, I agree, to be the champs, you have to beat the champs.
The Laker's look pretty good this year. Spurs don't look bad either, but their bunch of "good guys" just can't kick a team when they are down to finish them off. I still think (and hope) that it is the Laker's coming out of the West. This space for rent...

THe spurs still have to deal with chris paul and they did not get off to a great start. I expect duncan to come back strong in game 2.
I had an amazing time at the hawks game friday night, great win. The celtics are too old to win it all. I cant see it happening after the way they struggled to beat the hawks.

The Hornets are really taking it to the Spurs. Two big win's, now they hit the road if they can pick up a win then the series is basically theirs.

How about Mr. Kevin shutting down the lebron's last night. Huge win for the celtics. Chris Paul may have no last name, but he sure has everything else in his arsenal. I think the spurs are in big trouble.

Spurs are showing their age. I thought all year they looked tired. You play that much basketball and you start to lose your legs after a few years.
That being said, I still don't count them out yet. If they lose even 1 game at home their done.

I love basketball. I'm a big fan especially of the black guy and the Eastern European guy. I can't remember their names, but you know who I'm talking about.
