Lance Armstrong-Can anyone besides Dez...

Can anyone other than dez on this board keep up with lance armstrong going up the mountains on the bike? Many of you were unaware that dez is a former winner of the Tour De Spain, that in certain parts of the Balkaans he is revered as Dez de Balboa!

Meanwhile, i think that lance is in even better shape that ron bartell, and bartell looks like he is chiseled out of stone. Truly the most fit athelete on the planet, with the possible exception of ed viesturs, who has climbed everest 6 times without oxygen.

I'm living in Austin, which when the Tour de France kicks up should be renamed Lance, TX.

Here's a great link for the Tour de Lance....

http://www.statesman.com/

BTW, he's wearing yellow after today.....just an FYI

Re: Lance Armstrong-Can anyone besides Dez...

If he doesnt get very unlucky and get into an accident, he will bury the rest of the field in the mountains once again. Bottom line- he is in better physical shape than anyone else and he is so much mentally tougher than the rest of the pelaton as well. Not beatable physically, only bad luck can stop him.

Without a doubt GC, only mutiple broken bones will keep him from winning number seven. The changes in this year's course undercut his strength in the mountains (intentional?), but at this point it doesn't matter. To practically seal the deal on the stage one time trial and fly by his biggest rival Ullrich was truely amazing.

Re: Lance Armstrong-Can anyone besides Dez...

Any worries I had about Lance ended today. He was challenged and answered the call like only he can do. Greatest athlete of our time IMO.
