Re: Liverpool v Chelsea April 8 UEFA Quarters
Don't worry tx, I would say Chelsea have a little advantage with the 2nd leg being at Stamford Bridge. Going into the game they will know what they have to do, and will obviously have their supporters to cheer them on. However, Liverpool always seem to win the European games between the sides.

As a Man Utd fan, I can never grow tired of seeing these two beat up on each other in the CL, year after year.

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea April 8 UEFA Quarters
knowing a lot of scousers as i do....i am still beaming over wednesday night...
at 3-1 its over with already really...no dodgy refs can give them enough "phantom" goals or any other favourable decisions to pull this one out of the bag for them, like they have managed to in the past..

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea April 8 UEFA Quarters
Europe has a soccer championship tournament every year featuring the top teams from all the leagues in what is called the Champions League. It's a very prestigious event and it seems like every year Chelsea and their archrival Liverpool are teamed up to play at some point. Chelsea winning at Liverpool was huge because you play two fixtures in each round (home and home). The tie breaker is goal differential. With Chelsea winning by two goals at Liverpool makes it very difficult for Liverpool playing at Chelsea in the
home game at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's home pitch. This is the quarterfinal round of the Champions League.
Hope that helps.

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea April 8 UEFA Quarters
Chelsea were awsome against Liverpool and if Drogba had of finished of his chances as well as his all-round game was he would have walked of with the matchball. Chelsea outplayed Liverpool in every area of the pitch. Chelsea almost blew a 4 goal lead yesterday at home to Bolton in the league. they were 4-0 up and Bolton scored 3 in 10 minutes to make it a very un-comfortable finale. That should make them realise they need to keep the foot on the pedal against Liverpool. Anyway when Chelsea reach the Final 4 they will meet a formidable Barcelona team who look very, very good. They demolished Bayern 4-0 in the 1st leg. Should be an exciting Semi-Final.

Re: Liverpool v Chelsea April 8 UEFA Quarters
Helps indeed, I just don't follow soccer, and maybe that is my downfall in this topic thread. It is actually one of the only sports which I never really developed any knowledge or care for. Not that there is anything wrong with it, just never grew up anywhere near anything related to soccer. The base was covered by baseball and basketball, and then shortly thereafter football around here, and that's what I stuck to.
Now baseball's out, and the rest are starting to dominate. I actually care more for the hockey world more than the baseball now. But football will continue to be the favorite.
