we have weathers (actually good this year) and guardado in the bullpen, all the others suck.
go griffey, baby, he is better than bonds.

I guess someone has to live in Ohio....
Baseball is, and always has been and will be, a game of streaks but the better clubs usually find a way to limit their slumps.
Still not time to panic but frustration starts to set in.:\

he had one last year too. and if not for blown leads by the bullpen, harang would be around 16 wins right now, and arroyo would be a lot closer to .500
harang is hands down top 5 most underrated starting pitchers in the league.
lets see what happens today. all and all, go :l

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
Well we finally broke the scoreless innings streak today.
Top of the 1st- bases loaded, no outs= 1 run:x
Top of the 2nd- runners on 2nd & 3rd no outs= 1 run:x
Of course we have Brett (What the heck is doing starting?) Tomko on the mound so we are losing 3-2 going into the top of the 3rd.:x:x

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
It took 11 innings but we finally won ONE of three vs the Reds...
This might be the start of something good?

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
I hope you are right. My optimism has waned recently, due to our poor hitting and decimated pitching staff. My expectations remain low, but I pray we can get our hitting together, and Derek Lowe can get healthy for the stretch run.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced today that they have acquired veteran first baseman Mark Sweeney from the San Francisco Giants for a player to be named later or cash
|
I wonder if Sweeney can get a hit with runners in scoring position.....

Grady just needs to keep Lowe away from the sauce and he'll be fine.

Wow! 2 in a row!!
Penney was not around long enough to get his 14th, and Sweeney struck out in his 1st PH AB as a Dodger....

Nope! Same 'ol Dodgers, fading down the stretch in the National League West.
As of Sunday night the Dodgers are in 4th place (NL West) behind D-Backs, Padres and Rockies after losing to the Saint Louis Cardinals 12-2. (Wonder if any Rams were at the game.) The Dodgers also won ONE of three against the Cardinals.
Something good will have to start as the Dodgers begin their homestand against the Houston Astros (Monday 08/13/07).
I'll will be going to Tuesday game at Dodger Stadium, still holding onto hope for the boys in blue!

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
I guess the best way to look at this is they are ONLY 4 games back?
I hope you get to see a victory when you venture into the ravine on Tuesday, dgr as I did when I went to watch them play the Pads last month.

We can always daydream can we not?
Tyvm also. For me anyway there is a lot of incoherent ramblings that go into 800+ posts.... I hope I can occasionally add to the discussions here but more often than not I only state the obvious I am afraid... but it does help kill time! lol
