Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
"DODGERS WIN, DODGERS WIN!!"
Los Angeles Dodgers defeat the Chicago Cubs, in Chicago's Wrigley Field, 11-3 behind a strong outing from newly acquired Dodger starter, Estaban Loaiza. Loaiza went 7 innings, giving up 9 hits, 3 earned runs, while striking out 3.
After giving up the lead off homer to the Cubs, Alfonso Soriano, Loaiza settled down and got plenty of run support. Dodger bats exploded for 13 hits and 11 runs, knocking out Chicago's top money pitcher, Carlos Zambrano, early in the 4th inning.
With 25 games left to go for the Dodgers, they find themselves 4 games out inthe National League West Division, 3rd place behind the 1st place San Diego Padres and the 2nd place Arizona Diamondbacks.
NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST DIVISION
San Diego Padres 76 - 61 .555 -
Arizona Diamondbacks 76 - 63 .547 1.0
Los Angeles Dodgers 72 -65 .526 4.0
Dodgers are 3 games behind the Diamondbacks in the Wild Card race.

Dodgers looking pretty good now if only our solid pitching and young lineup can continue to roll.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
Only way to even have a chance at this thing is to win every series from here out and even sweep a couple. Preferably from the teams in front of us in the standings.
6-0 lead and then give 3 back on 2 HR's is not generally indicative of a team serious about making a run at the pennant...RnD
GO RAMS!!

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
Cmon man it was not like it was bad defense. Wells gave up three when he was at his pitching thresh hold. You gotta think 5 innings with only one hit that is pretty good. After the three runs they stayed focused and won the game. The pads getting 3 back is no biggie they are a tough team fighting for the playoffs just like us. We were 8 out in the beginning of August now were right in the hunt. I think with all the pitching injuries this team has played well and we have a real shot.6-0 lead and then give 3 back on 2 HR's is not generally indicative of a team serious about making a run at the pennant...LET'S GO DODGERS

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
I typed that in as I was watching the game.Cmon man it was not like it was bad defense.
I agree, Wells was doing a fair job but was not on top of his game.
You are correct, sir. It was NOT the defense's fault but then again it is hard to play defense against a HR.
16 to go, we cannot afford many more losses... including a DH from CO on Tues.
GO BIG BLUE!!
1 1/2 games out of the wildcard is not so bad but I'd rather be 1 1/2 up in the wildcard.
Here's to the pitching holding up into the stretch and the batters getting some of those clutch hits when needed most!RnD
GO RAMS!!
