Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
It has been rumored that he would be interested in following Torre.
Didn't Mariano Rivera also hint at the same thing when he said that he would decide about his opt out clause when the Torre issue was settled AND that he wanted Torre to stay?
I am also glad to see some of the staff following Torre. Don Mattingly in Dodger Blue. Almost doesn't seem right, but Ill take it.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
Would Rivera be happy not being the closer is the ? He is aging and not always producing where the Dodgers have one of the best closers in the game with Saito.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
Good question. Maybe he can be the set up man to Saito. Would love to have that happen cause we all know that one bad pitch and an elbow could be gone for the season. Nice to have a backup.

Hopefully for the Dodgers, these guys can adjust to switching to the N.L...

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
the signing of Andruw Jones looks really good and i think they signed a japanese pitcher. so the rotation is steady. We can definitely be contenders if 2 things happen : 1) Schidmt has a healthy season and 2) Ethier/Kemp/Jones should be the regular everyday outfield.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers won the bidding war for Japanese right-handed starter Hiroki Kuroda, reaching an agreement Saturday on a three-year, $35.3 million contract.

Maybe Ethier to Left might make sense. Not a strong enough arm for Right or Center. Great speed but often forgot to catch the ball when he caught up to it.
I'll wait and see if the Dodgers overpaid for a has-been or will benefit from his addition.RnD
