Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

Eating your words? Eh, RnD? Probably could have used some of those 10 runs last night. We'll see who can take the series tonight, my moneys on the Jays to take this series as well.

I would still rather have used the excess runs to win the series VS the Halos.. the runs would not have mattered in last night's debacle!! lol

Unless Billingsley can keep it together in his first go the Jays have a fair to good shot @ the game.

over half the season to go, not time to panic..... yet :x

Dang, here I was concededing the game if Billingsley wasn't up to it but a former Jay and a Canuck helped to rally the Dodgers to a win.... never say die!

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

Bases loaded no outs and a 5-2-3 DP is followed by a walk to load the bases again which nets a lazy fly ball and no runs... 15 LOB.... need more be said?

All this and still only 1/2 game out of first.....

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

lose 2 out of 3 to the Devil Rays and manage to only be 1 1/2 out... and then sneak up on the Snattlerakes to climb within 1/2 game.

Here's to playing for 1st place when I go to Chavez Ravine on Sunday to see the Dodgers host the Pads!

Well, here we are heading into the weekend tied for first (okay, the Dodgers are .01 percentage points in 2nd).

Today is the last day to vote for your favorite players.. remember you can only vote up to 25 times! Each e-mail address! Ridiculous but true...

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

Okay, had a good time watching the Dodgers shut out the Pads today after losing the first 2 games of the series by one run each.

Billingsley pitched an outstanding game once he settled down in the 3rd. Furcal and Kemp hitting solo homers. The most fun though was watching the Dodgers score 3 runs in the 3rd with 2 outs on a single and a sacrifice bunt then a single for an RBI, a stolen base, another single for an RBI, only to be followed by another stolen base and single for an RBI.

Was not much of a crowd, officially 48,632 but it sure seemed like a LOT of empty seats. 85 Deg at gametime and beaches so near may have had something to do with the no-shows.

I was there in my RAMS cap and t-shirt and saw only one other fan with Rams gear on but a few acknowledgements and "how do you think they will do this year" 's

All in all a good day!

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

You do realize your the new good luck charm right? If you do not go to every home game the rest of the season and we dont make the playoffs its your fault. Thats cool though man the one game you go to you got to see a win.I was just glad to see a win on my lazy sunday and also watched Jeff Gordon get another second place finish 2 more turns and he would have won.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

Wish I could afford to go more often... a ticket, parking, concessions easy to drop $100 before ya know it. Can't imagine what it costs to take kids and end up with souvenirs, caps, shirts, and multiple trips to the concession stands..

My brother used to take his kids "back in the day" and claims they could do 2 or 3 games motel room and pay for gas for $100... but then the players were only making tens of hundreds of dollars? lol

Kewl, have a great time!

I saw several Pads fans @ the Ravine, and a charter bus of Pads fans parked near our bus. They were jovial before the game and a bit subdued after... imagine that!?!

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers

Big Win tonight Billingsly 6-0. Smashing a division rival (a bitter rivalry) at their house and getting tied up for first again is a great way to start the second half of the season.
