Ok here is my point when was the last time that our Rams went out and got a big time player. The last one I can recall was Marshal and that was way to long ago. Sure the Angels may have made a huge mistake BUT at least they are trying! Stan get a GM and start rebuilding this team.

His best days are behind him (he's been in a statistical decline for the past 4 seasons), and I just can't see paying $25M a year to a DH (which will happen in the next 4 or 5 years.

My head says it's the right move for the Cards, but my heart is still ripped.

The Lakers reportedly are getting Paul for Odom and Gasol. That leaves Bynum as the only bargaining chip to make a run at Howard. I've heard nothing here in town that would indicate that the Magic would be stupid enough to make that deal (there are several better deals that are likely available), so the Lakers may have outsmarted themselves. A lineup of Bynum, Artest, Barnes, Bryant and Paul (with pretty much no bench) will be good, but won't get out of the West to face the Heat or Bulls.
