In a tightly-contested game that came down to the last play, the Talons won the championship by stopping the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers 73-66.
This marks Tulsa's second AFL2 championship (2003).
The Arkansas Twisters were the only team to defeat the Talons this season. Tulsa lost to the Twisters twice.
Tulsa has won more games in AFL2 than any other team.

No, we didn't travel to attend. We did see it on TV. The game went to the final play with the Pioneer receiver being denied the catch in the endzone as they attempted to tie the game with 3 seconds left. The Pioneers were also 14-2 in the regular season.
I've never seen an AFL2 game on TV, and I live 20 minutes away from one! I guess there just isn't a big enough market here for that yet. I bet if the Vipers can start winning again, then people will consider it.
Games going down to the last play are the best, when your team wins (see Superbowl XXXIV) :)
That was the first game that we had on TV here, as well.
Yeah, I was somewhat reminded of the end of SB34 by the finish.
