Which 2 positions do you hope to see the Rams fill in Round 1?

Man you ask good questions and this one is tough too. I went with OT and TE largely because as you say, OT's are limited and our OL HAS TO BE A PRIORITY in this draft. I went with TE over WR because as TEKE so eloquently talks about the 12 personnel and the middle of the field type of receiver, I would add we need the Red Zone threat. I would model that pick ala Jimmy Graham or Dennis Pitta, and the pick I'd make is Zac Ertz who receives and blocks. He's a clutch TE also had 39 of his 66 catches go for 1st downs. Drive extender/move the chains type. That is the type of player I'd love to see lining up with Lance Kendricks to create mismatches for us. Couple that with a potent running game and good long-passing and I think our offense will create some serious problems for our opponents.

Of course I also want the Safety position addressed, but the depth at that spot will allow us to find a good one in rounds 2 or 3. We still have the Combine to get through and that could change the dynamics immeasurably.

LB is not viewed by many as a top priority.

In the 43 defense LB is not as critical a position as in the 34. If we have a solid safety that handles the coverage aspect and we already know the talent of our front four.

To my previous post on the TE spot having a solid blocker adds to the OL strength and with the teams on our division playing the 34 defense that makes a difference.

I had to go with OT and S. We still don't know what we have with Rokevious so guard may be handled.Right Tackle has been a weakness for quite a while now and we need a quality Safety. No more Dahl. We might not be too far off with WR. I still think Danny comes back. Young and/or Quick may produce this year.

My only beef with the concept of taking a safety in Round 1 is that I think the position is really deep this year and the Rams could probably afford to wait until pick 46 to get a starter. I think there are at least a half dozen safeties worth a top 50 selection (Vaccaro, Elam, Reid, Jefferson, Swearinger, Thomas) and a few more who are Round 2-3 guys (Rambo, McDonald, Cyprien).

I went OL and S as well. Wouldn't mind 2 safeties in the first 4 either. I don't see LB as an urgent need either.
Sammy Brown and Jabara Williams possess the speed we need at OLB, and Josh Hull backs up OK - maybe we get one in FA or draft in the 4th or 5th.
Definitely do one again after FA and the combine AV.

If any two of the Warmack-Vaccaro-Ertz trio are gone by the time we draft, I'd honestly rather the Rams trade back to secure another 2nd round pick. The Rams still have a lot of holes to fill (OL, OLB, WR, TE, and S being the major holes) and having four picks in the first 2 rounds would go a long way in filling those holes. Grab either Warmack/Vaccaro/Ertz with the first 1st rounder, Tavon Austin or Matt Elam with the second 1st rounder, and pick best available player with our two 2nd rounders (Warford, Cyprien, Barrett Jones, Kyle Long, and Eddie Lacy are all ideas).
