Not if the Rams view Carriker as their interior run stopper.

Re: 2007 NFL Draft Discussion Thread

I'd say Nebraska's SLB Stewart Bradley to the Rams in round 2.

The other options are McBride and Tyler at DT.

It all depends on where we want to play Carriker.

What picks were involved in all of the trades??

Also anyone notable still on the board who we thought would go first?

I don't think the Rams go LB or DT here. I think they're content with Chillar for the time being, and while they could upgrade it would be later. Since they view Carriker as a DT, they're not going to take another one.

A cornerback, a pass rushing DE, or a running back make more sense, I think.

Arkansas product Chris Houston is still avaialable, Tim Crowder could be a good pick...but a runningback? who do you have in mind?

Houston is there, as is someone like Eric Wright, Jonathan Wade, Tanard Jackson, Daymeion Hughes.

At DE, the Rams could look towards Crowder, Abiamiri, Charles Johnson, Moses, Ray McDonald.

At running back, the Rams may be interested in Brian Leonard, Antonio Pittman, Kenny Irons.

I just don't see us going DT since that's where Linehan has said he views Carriker.

Receiver is a possibility since some guys are dropping (Rice, Jarrett, Smith).

I'd rather see Carriker lining up as an end. He seems to be compared to Wistrom non-stop so I don't understand why you'd want to line him up on the interior. I still think the Rams should make a move for Kris Jenkins and I think it was a mistake not to move up and grab Branch in the 2nd like the Cards did.

I think we might find Quentin Moses' available to us in round three.

Corner would be great, but for whatever reason, I'm still gunning for Carriker's felllow Cornhusker Stewart bradley.

Re: 2007 NFL Draft Discussion Thread

looking at whose left before we pick next i can only see cinci as someone who would take Tyler ahead of us... maybe a case of BPA plus im thinking if we took tyler wed be closer to getting a 3-4 if thats haslett`s plan....

    Carricker/Glover Tyler/Kennedy Glover/ Wroten/Victor

    Little/Chiller/Smith Spoon/DeOssie? Draft/DeOssie? Pisa/Draft/Alston

i admit theres a fair bit of inexperience in that group but it could turn into something special!

Really don't see Tyler as the pick after taking Carriker and coming out already to say he's a tackle, but we'll see. To be honest I wouldn't be shocked to see Tyler drop a bit.

    Agreed.

Sidney Rice and Dwayne Jarret just left the board, and Chris Houston has gone already. Place your bets, gentlemen.

i hear you nick just thinkin that we still dont have a natural NT, Carricker may be intended for that role, maybe they gonna play without one and just go for 2 DT`s..... i bow to your expertise but im still wearing my Tank For St.Louis shirt with my Crowder/Johnson For St.Louis shirt underneath just incase !

There goes LaMarr Woodley...Tim Crowder, Charles Johnson, Eric Wright and Stewart Bradley are inching closer.
