Re: 2009 NFL Draft Comparison Poll
My vote is on Larry Fitzgerald. You know he is going to be the one getting the ball but still u cannot cover him.
During a goal line play Fitz just runs 10 inches and jumps extrmley high and gets the TD u know itz going to happen and u can cover really good be he will still get the ball.
Fitz is compared to Crabtree i say get im

Re: 2009 NFL Draft Comparison Poll
I understand that you are using hindsight to compare the value of these current players,ie the value they have earned in the real world, to the potential of the possible options at rd1 #2 this year but it doesn't help us much.
A lot of these guys were taken MUCH lower in the draft in reality & some can't even be considered the best in their position class which is what you have to aim for at #2. Never mind a buttload of other excellent prospects who panned out at other positions.
Example: Rogers, taken at end of Rd2. Would you have passed on Stroud, Richard Seymour,Kris Jenkins, etc, to take him with the assessment available at the time? I wouldn't have. Maybe over Lewis & Pickett but not those guys.

Re: 2009 NFL Draft Comparison Poll
I thought it was fitting...
I just don't believe in comparing college players, ecspecially underclassmen, to the best players in the NFL at their position...Malcom Kelly was being compared to Fitz last year...by saying a college player could be as good as Fitz is really diminishing how good a player like Fitz is...there are alot of upper echelon receivers in the NFL..Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne, Anquan Boldin...but the league has been dominated by Randy Moss vs. Terrell Owens conversations for years...and now finally after 5 years of being a pro, Fitz is being talked about in that conversation...Moss vs. Owens vs. Fitz...who's the best in the league? To say that Michal Crabtree, who never took an NFL snap could be there with Larry Fitzgerald, it's far fetched...
compare him to an "upper echelon" guy... a Braylon Edwards kinda guy...that's a little more realistic...could you imagine a college prospect's talent being compared to the level of a guy like an Adrienne Peterson? a Tom Brady? a Peyton Manning? an Ed Reed? HELL NO! Because it's far fetched and not realistic...if you can look at a sophmore from Texas Tech who has only played wide receiver for two years in his entire life and say "he could be as good as Fitz" then you might a well say that Fitz isn't all that great and that a guy like him comes by once every couple of years...and that would be completely false...

Re: 2009 NFL Draft Comparison Poll
You asked the question I gave you an answer if you do not like it so be it.
Here are some more names if you need some help with a list of dominate WR.
A & C Johnson
Marshall
TJ Hous....(not going to try)
Edwards (2007)
C. Johnson (up to 2007)
When observing players in college we tend to compare them to players similar who have played in the NFL
It makes no sense to compare Steven Jackson with Barry Sanders. Styles are completely different. Now you could compare SJAX with Riggins, Earl Campbell, Bettis and etc.
I understand why they Compare Crabtree and Fitzgerald. Actually, I am sure that Larry considers it a complement that your using his name to compare a very talented and upcoming WR.
Just my 2 cents
