With the 15th pick in the NFL Draft, the New York Giants select:

    Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Mizzou

Hear me out here, guys and gals...this guy is fast, tough, strong, and is smart enough to play in any LB spot available. He's a strong replacement for Antonio Pierce.

With the 16th pick in the 2010 draft, the Tennessee Titans select......

    Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, USF

The Titans desperately need an edge rusher. Their pass rush is lacking, and not a lot on the roster to help with that from the DE position. JPP is very raw, but has amazing potential. Had some academic issues so the Titans will need to keep an eye on him and his playbook; but his athleticism is unmatched. If he continues to progress, he will be a terror off the edge.

With the 17th pick in the Mod Mock Draft, the San Francisco ***** select...

MIKE IUPATI - OL - IDAHO

The ***** could use some help at either guard or tackle, and many believe Iupati could play either position. He could be plugged in immediate at left guard, or he could shift outside and line up at right tackle for San Francisco. He'd have to be looked at as an upgrade over Adam Snyder.

With the 18th pick in the 2010 NFL Mod Mock Draft the Pittsburh Steelers select:

    Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State

The Steelers have other needs but they need a Corner now. They lost Bryant McFadden last year in free agency and their other corners are either old or inconsistent. Not to mention the Ravens and Bengals have improved their respective receiving corps, meaning the Steelers need to improve at the position NOW.

With the 19th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select:

    Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech
The Falcons had minimal pass rush production from its D Line in 2009, and former first round pick Jamaal Anderson has pretty much been a bust. Morgan, who played college ball in the Falcons' backyard, is a great all around, every-down DE prospect who should start from day 1. A great value at this point in the draft.

With the 20th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select:

    Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers

McCourty is an average sized cornerback with good athleticism. He runs well but doesnít have premier speed out on and island. McCourty is a tough, competitive player that understands angles and route progressions. He is an active secondary defender that gets his hands on lots of balls but doesnít always make the interception. McCourty has great hips, agility and balance to turn and stay in the receiverís hip pocket. He does get overpowered at times versus larger receivers in block protection and on jump ball situations but he appears to know his limitations and is a defender. McCourty is a good football player that will likely contribute quickly at nickel back and special teams (returns as well as coverage units) in his rookie season.

With the 21st selection, the Cincinatti Bengals draft.....

    Sergio Kindle, LB/DE, Texas

The Bengals were hoping for Earl Thomas or Dez Bryant to slip here, but with them gone, they get an outstanding hybrid player in Sergio Kindle. He will move Maualauga inside, and can be used as a situational pass rusher.

With the 22nd pick in the Mod Mock Draft, the New England Patriots take...

BRANDON GRAHAM - OLB - MICHIGAN

Graham has an outstanding ability to get to the quarterback, and New England needs an infusion of youth at the outside linebacker position. Adalius Thomas has been a free agent bust for them and may be released before it's all said and done. The Patriots likely can't count on Derrick Burgess for much if they bring him back. Graham highlighted just how disruptive he can be at the Senior Bowl.

With the 23rd pick in the 2010 NFL Mod Mock Draft The Green Bay Packers select:

    Charles Brown, OT, USC

Even though the Packers have resigned Chad Clifton (OT) and Mark Tauscher (OT). Relying on Clifton to stay healthy and protect Aaron Rodgers blindside for another year is not a good idea. Green Bays #1 priority this offseason is finding a top notch left tackle for Rodgers and have the depth should one of their starting tackles go down with injury, (again). You can make the argument that Charles Brown fits that role.

With the 24th pick in the NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select:

    Taylor Mays, S, USC
The Eagles really missed Sean Dawkins last year. Mays is not great in coverage, but he is big, fast and a terror for receivers coming over the middle.

Re: The 2010 ClanRam Mod Mock Draft - Selections Thread

With the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select:

    Brian Price, DT, UCLA

He earned Pac-10 defensive player of the year honors in 2009 with 48 tackles (23?? for a loss) and seven sacks. Price is a short, squatty powerhouse who uses great explosion and quickness to get an edge, but his speed is average. His toughness reflects growing up in the South Central Los Angeles area and dealing with two of his brothers being killed. He is a work in progress and has size limitations, but there is little doubt he will give everything he has to make it in the NFL.

With the 26th pick of the draft, the Arizona Cardinals select.....

    Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame

The Cardinals were really thinking Jermaine Gresham would be their dream pick at this point, but that was assuming Clausen would already be gone. Ultimately, it comes down to.....what good is another weapon if you don't have anyone to pull the trigger. The Leinert selection has not gone as well as hoped; and he's in his final year of his contract. Not sure that the two sides want the arrangement to continue. And now, the Cardinals won't have to worry about their QB position........unless Clausen proves to be as big a flame out as Leinert has been.

Nick is busy with some sort of wedding, so...

With the 27th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:

    Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech
Roy Williams has not worked out as hoped, and Thomas is a good value at this point, notwithstanding his foot injury. Thomas has rare size and speed, and fights for the ball like a power forward going for a rebound.

With the 28th pick in the 2010 NFL Mod Mock Draft the San Diego Chargers select:

    Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State

LT is gone so the Chargers need a runningback. Mathews was very productive in college with 3,280 yds and 39 TD's. His 4.45 speed at the combine really helped his cause.

With the 29th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select:

    Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame
The jury's still out on the addition of Braylon Edwards, and the Jets need more fire power in their passing game. Tate will provide big play ability.
