2010 NFL Draft Order (UPDATED 12/21)

I'm sure some will be interested in keeping an eye on this as the season draws to a close. So I'll keep up with it. Currently, the order is:

1. Rams 1-13 --- 0.531
2. Lions 2-12 --- 0.513
3. Bucs 2-12 --- 0.558
4. Browns 3-11 --- 0.509
5. Chiefs 3-11 --- 0.527

I came up with the same numbers. As I was putting together my excel sheet, I realized if you link the schedule of the 22 teams that count toward the Rams and Bucs to the SOS calculations you can run possible outcomes that will bound the solution. For example, if the Packer win their last 3 games, then the Cards cannot win their last 3 games since they play the Packers. This limits the possible outcomes and may determine the final result sooner than the last week.

Right now, by my estimates, the Rams will keep the edge over the Bucs if the better teams beat the worse teams over the last 3 weeks.

What does San Fran do to this whole situation? They just beat Arizona...is this a good thing or a bad thing? Or does it even itself out regardless?

It was already factored in. Regardless of how last night worked out, we were going to get two more wins (because we play both teams twice each), and the Lions were going to pick up one win (because they play each once). None of the other teams near our selection spot play either of them.

Another thing we got going on is the Bucs fans routing for all the NFC West teams, and us routing for all the NFC South teams.

Here's who to route for this week....

We want the Eagles to beat the Niners.
and we want the Panthers to beat the Vikes.

These are high impact games in the race for the #1 pick between the Bucs and the Rams (assuming we both finish 1-15)

Currently the Rams have a 3 game lead on the Bucs in the battle of the SOS. The 2 games listed above are worth 3 more wins each.

I got 0.534 for the Rams. I would get 0.531 if I used 14 total games for the Skins, but they have only played 13 games before tonight.

In the event of a 3 way tie, it goes by strength of schedule.

However, if there were to be a 2-way tie between the Rams and Lions, would head-to-head be considered first? (relevant as the Rams beat the Lions)

Not me, I want them to play well but lose close. This season is washed up. Suh could be a force for ten years. Why blow losing the best DT to come out of college in a long time just to beat a division rival?
