If they come out you can look at Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State Damion Williams, WR, USC and Arelius Benn, WR, Illinois. As of now the best senior WR is Brandon Lafell. All our TEs are FAs next year except Bejama who is a blocker, so Jermain Gresham is another option
If it where up to me I wouldn't draft a receiver I would go after a vet FA like Vincent Jackson
Here are the top five next year according to Walter football. Some big playmakers.
- http://walterfootball.com/college/Illinois_logo.gif Arrelious Benn*, Illinois
Height: 6-2. Weight: 214.
Projected 40 Time: 4.46.
Projected Round (2010): Top 10 Pick.
2/7/09: Lucky for Arrelious Benn - all the top 2010 and 2011 receiving prospects declared, making him the No. 1 wideout on the board. Big Benn caught 67 passes for 1,055 yards as a sophomore.
7/26/08: The Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Arrelious Benn led the Fighting Illini with 54 catches and 676 yards. He was consistent all year, registering at least four receptions in 11 of his 13 games.- http://walterfootball.com/college/USC_logo.gif Damian Williams*, USC
Height: 6-1. Weight: 190.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2010): Top 20 Pick.
2/7/09: Debacled Penn State in the Rose Bowl Presented by Kraft, catching 10 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. Williams finished the season with 58 receptions, 869 yards and four scores.
7/26/08: Had to sit out the 2007 campaign because he transferred from Arkansas to USC. As a sophomore in 2006, Williams put up poor numbers (19 receptions), but played in a very limited passing attack. He should be able to thrive at USC, assuming he gets enough targets.- http://walterfootball.com/college/Ok...State_logo.gif Dez Bryant*, Oklahoma State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 210.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2010): Top 25 Pick.
2/7/09: A dynamic player in Oklahoma State's explosive offense, Dez Bryant registered 87 receptions for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns as a mere sophomore. And he's only going to get better. Bryant also returned two punts to the house.- http://walterfootball.com/college/LSU_logo.gif Brandon LaFell, LSU
Height: 6-3. Weight: 209.
Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
Projected Round (2010): 1-2.
1/19/09: Brandon LaFell has chosen to go back to school after declaring early. LaFell didn't sign with an agent, so he was able to use the 72-hour rule and retract his admission. This was a great move by LaFell, who has a small shot at going in the first round in 2010.
1/4/09: Despite his 61 receptions, 903 yards and eight touchdowns, it appears as though Brandon LaFell will return for his senior season.
10/19/08: I love Brandon LaFell as a receiving prospect. LaFell has really stepped up this year; his worst performance was a 7-catch, 59-yard output in a loss at Florida.
5/22/08: Brandon LaFell cooled off toward the end of the season but still managed to lead the team in receiving yards (656). He'll have to be more of a factor with Early Doucet gone.
2007: So much for LSU not having a second option across from Early Doucet. Brandon LaFell had the breakout performance of his collegiate career against a very solid Virginia Tech defense, catching seven passes for 125 yards, leading all Tiger receivers.- http://walterfootball.com/college/Cincinnati_logo.gif Marshawn Gilyard, Cincinnati
Height: 6-1. Weight: 180.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2010): 2.
2/7/09: Marshawn Gilyward emerged as an explosive weapon in Cincinnati's high-octane offense. He caught 81 passes for 1,276 yards and 11 touchdowns despite not having his starting quarterback for a few games.
I would love for Arrelious to be in horns. Hopefully he slides to number 32 :D
I think we have a better shot at Bradford.....
I hope Dez Bryant is not alike Rashaun Woods or Adadrius Bowman. I am scared of Cowboys receivers.
Rejus has been NFL ready since the day he walked into Illinois. He's bigger than 214, btw. More like 225.
SJacks039's list from Walter is a pretty good list of top guys to keep an eye on, but this early, you never know who is going to separate themselves for next year and who might slip a bit.
Im more for Bradford
I love Rejus, this guy will be a beast. I also like Marshawn Gilyards potential, the kid is disgustingly fast.
if he's that fast he will be drafted by the Raiders no doubt.
D-Will!!!!! My man has speed and one of the best route runners in the NCAA! Loves to teach the youngers guys on the team also. So he show some leadership.
