You're on the clock!
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the first pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select...
Andrew Luck
Quarterback - Stanford
http://cdn.cloudfiles.mosso.com/c191...drew-Luck3.jpg
Luck has everything you look for in a franchise quarterback, with his best attribute perhaps being his intelligence and high football IQ. With the Colts looking for a replacement for a Hall of Fame quarterback in Peyton Manning, drafting a quality football player in Andrew Luck makes all the sense in the world. He's one of the best quarterback prospects to come out in the last decade, and will help ensure some much needed stability for the Colts at a vital position.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the 2nd pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, The Washington Redskins select.....
The Redskins are very confident that RGIII is the franchise QB that they have been lacking for years. After trading 3 first round picks and a 2nd round pick to get him they better be right.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the third pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select...
Matt Kalil
Offensive Tackle - USC
http://www.bleed-green.com/blog/wp-c...2/02/Kalil.jpg
The Vikes drafted Christian Ponder in the first round last year, and he played well at times during his rookie year. However, he suffered a few injuries which kept him out of the line up at times, and he was sacked 30 times in his 11 games (10 starts). The Vikings need to protect him better, and Charlie Johnson didn't work out as an effective replacement for Bryant McKinnie. Kalil is a player that would step in and start right away at Left Tackle.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the fourth pick in the draft, the Cleveland Browns select...
The Browns could go in a number of directions here, but Richardson makes the most sense. Peyton Hillis is gone, and Richardson is one of the five most talented players in this draft at any position. His presence will make a life a lot easier for Colt McCoy or whoever ends up playing QB for Cleveland.

Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the fifth overall pick in the draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select....
MORRIS CLAIBORNE, CB, LSU
Attachment 2879
Tampa Bay will gladly take Morris Claiborne, the top defensive player off the board at #5. Given the division that the Bucs play in, defending against the pass is vitally important. Even with the recent addition of Eric Wright, the Bucs need to do more to stop the Saints and Falcons. Claiborne is exactly what they need to compete.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the sixth pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the St. Louis Rams select...
Justin Blackmon
Wide Receiver - Oklahoma State University
http://ogdraft.com/wp-content/upload...n-Blackmon.jpg
St. Louis has a huge need for a #1 WR. After signing Steve Smith and Amendolla coming back from injury the Rams receiving corp will be upgraded greatly, but even with those additions the Rams still lack a true #1. Blackmon had a great year last year, posting numbers of 121 catches, 1522 yards, 18 touchdowns. Whats even more impressive is that his 2010 numbers were even better. At 6'1, 207, he would be the shortest wr taken in the top 10 since Ginn Jr. Runs great routes, attacks the ball and uses his body well to seperate from opposing defenders. Has been compared to Anquan Boldin and Terrel Owens. The Rams get lucky with Blackmon, he is a player they might of drafted at #2 overall, but now they get a king's ransom in future picks from the Skins and still there man at #6.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the seventh pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select...
Michael Floyd, WR - Notre Dame
http://www.thesportsbank.net/core/wp...hael-floyd.jpg
The Jags are stocked at WR with Jaret Dilliard, Mike Thomas, and Cecil Shorts; plus their big-time FA acquisition of Laurent Robinson.............BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
They need a #1 WR worse than we do, and Michael Floyd fits the bill. Word has it that new owner Shahid Khan is not as big on high character pre-requisites as previous management, so Floyd's off-field issues will not be a draft day issue. Gabbert needs a target, and now he has one.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the eighth pick in the 2012 Clan Ram Insider Mock Draft, the Miami Dolphins select...
Ryan Tannehill
Quarterback - Texas A&M
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.aolnews.c...-tannehill.jpg
It's said that when you don't have a franchise quarterback, you get one. Is Tannehill an elite prospect? No, but there are those who believe he has franchise quarterback potential, and teams trip over themselves to overdraft those kinds of prospects, especially with a rookie wage scale limiting the damage of a high pick miss. The Dolphins failed to lure Peyton Manning to Miami, and failed to hook Matt Flynn as well. They'll be in the market for a signal-caller in this draft.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the 9th pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insider Mock Draft, The Carolina Panthers select.....
Poe was a beast at the combine! Men who weigh 350 pounds aren't supposed to move around like him. The Panthers have a huge need in the interior of their D-Line. They spent a pair of 3rd round picks last year on DT's, Sione Fua and Terrell McClain. Fua wasn't that bad as a rookie but McClain was awful, constantly getting abused against the run. Adding a talent like Poe will allow Fua and McClain to rotate next to him depending on the situation.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the 10th pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the Buffalo Bills select...
Riley Reiff
Offensive Tackle - Iowa
http://fantasyknuckleheads.com/wp-co...play_image.jpg
Last seasons Left Tackle, free agent Demetrius Bell, does have an offer on the table from the Bills. However, he has taken visits with the Packers, Cardinals and Redskins, seemingly determined to move on from Buffalo and receive a bigger pay check.
After having spent big money on the QB last season, and having beefed up the defensive line through free agency, the drafting of Reiff to play left tackle is an obvious choice.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the 11th pick in the draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select:
The Chiefs have used some premium picks on front 7 players in recent years (T.Hali, T.Jackson, G.Dorsey), but they lack a big anchor in the middle. Brockers is raw, but if he can reach his potential, the Chiefs' defense could be one of the better units in the league before long.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the 12th pick in the ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select...
LUKE KUECHLY, ILB, BOSTON COLLEGE
http://thexlog.com/wp-content/upload...eKuechly-2.jpg
The Seahawks need help both at LB at DE. Normally defensive end would be valued higher and with Coples on the board would be a logical pick for most. However, the Seahawks defensive line, while needing help, is in much better shape than their linebackers. Kuechly can step in and play MLB right away, a position the Seahawks have been trying to fill since drafting Aaron Curry. Kuechly gives them a strong middle presence to counter-act Willis and Laurinitis, and can anchor their defense for years.
Re: *2012 ClanRam Insiders 2-Round Mock Draft*
With the 13th pick in the ClanRam Insiders Mock Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select...
David DeCastro, Guard, Stanford
http://l.yimg.com/j/assets/p/sp/ap/8...7622724593.jpg
It's not very common to see a guard drafted this early in the draft, but DeCastro is no ordinary guard. He is one of the best guards to enter the draft in a long time, and has been compared to Steve Hutchinson. The Cardinals will take DeCastro to help solidify there offensive line and be a pro bowler for many years. At 6'5 310 lbs, DeCastro is an intelligent, durable, athletic, elite run blocker and solid pass protector. DeCastro can fit any blocking scheme. He has the mobility to be a zone blocker and the power to execute in a power-man blocking scheme.
