Running Back - Oregon



James is a lightning fast running back, but being a small individual he has durability concerns and can't carry an NFL running back's load on his own. With that in mind, going to a team like Green Bay where he can be a situational player is ideal for him. Paired with James Starks, James will give the Packers a fantastic running attack.

With the 60th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select:


Ben Jones, C, Georgia

Although the Ravens just re-signed Matt Birk to a three year deal, I don't believe that anyone thinks that the 35 year old, who contemplated retirement at the end of last year, will play out that contract. In fact, Birk looked like a player in need of replacement at the end of last year, after being dominated by Vince Wilfork in the playoffs. Jones will make a very good heir apparent and should be a starter by 2013. In the meantime, he provides very good depth at both the center and guard spot.

Derek Wolfe, DE/DT, Cincinnati

The ***** have one of the best defenses, and it could be argued that they should go offense with this pick. However, after signing a stable of WRs and drafting Fleener, the ***** should have upgraded their offense considerably. They could use a guard or tackle for the right side, but with the huge run on OTs and OGs, there are slim pickings. So they will be happy to add some depth to their defensive line, which has solid starters, but little depth. Wolfe can play end in the 3-4 scheme the ***** play, and provide good rotational depth as well as injury protection.

With the 62nd pick in the 2012 ClanRam Insiders Mock draft, the New England Patriots select...

Brian Quick, WR, Appalachian State


Even though the Patriots recently signed Brandon Lloyd to be their new #1, and still have Welker in the slot, they don't have much else at WR after that, and don't have anyone young developing to be the starter some day. At 6'4 220 lbs, he gives the Patriots they haven't had since Moss left, a big tall deep threat WR. Suprisingly for such a big receiver, he has good after the catch ability. It will take Quick some time to develop better route running and improving his hands, but eventually could become the Patriots no.1 WR down the road.

With the 63rd pick in the draft, and the final pick of the ClanRam's Mock Draft, the New York Giants select....

Shea McClellin, DE/OLB, Boise State



What the G-Men really need in this spot is an OT or OG to pick up. However, there's not much value at that pick, while the DE/OLB value is outstanding. Historically, the Giants have done well with undersized D-linemen. So while McClellin (fluctuates between 250 and 260) might be a better fit as a 3-4 OLB, if he is to succeed in a 4-3, the Giants would be a good fit.

This pick is all about value. A potential first round pick with the #63 pick? That's good value. And McClellin has played all over the BSU front 7, so his learning curve moving up and down the Giants front 7 showed be less relative to other rookies.
