Surprisingly early for Jordan. I'm not knocking it, I'm just surprised. The Jags certainly need to get pressure on the QB given that they thought they'd be finally free of Manning only to inherit Manning Mark II while still having to deal with the Texans offense. I see someone on the defensive line, but i think that the hometown kid from Florida could be the pick(Like Tebow should have been). He can rush the passer and maybe actually make the guys they already have on the ends a bit better.
Also, I'm sure that everyone in the pro-receiver camp is hating you right now Av. I'm up at 16 and I've made it clear that I'm anti-1st round receiver. Better be glad that we didn't get the 16 and 24th picks!
I like all the picks so far. I think that's a very legitimate Top Five.
As for the Jordan to the Jags pick, it's an interesting one. Former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah said on Twitter yesterday that he thought Jordan was a perfect scheme fit for them.
I think it's a very legitimate top 5 as well. I hadn't heard previously that Backus was retiring, so that definitely drops their need for a pass rusher or a corner unless they can grab Vollmer or someone else before the draft. I could see Milliner dropping for Lotuleilei if the Jags go Floyd, Raiders go Lotu, Chip Kelly brings in his own Jordan, and then the Lions go for protecting Stafford. Barring trades, I think that's about the only change I really see.
Good top 5. I didn't know Backus was retiring either. Guess he doesn't not block for the Lions anymore. That makes me fairly certain they will take a tackle, barring a free agent signing or trade.
I'd be interested to see what the Lions' plans are for Riley Reif, who came off the bench last year. He started at LT when Baukus went down (thought it was just for one game) and was a swing tackle for the rest of the season.
I think Fisher's too good of a talent to pass up at 5, and especially if Milliner is gone, as in this scenario.
I think you could look for the Lions gunning for Datone Jones in the 2nd(if he lasts that long) as he could be the top pass rusher left when they come up again. They've lost a lot of talent at DE and I think that might be the only position that could trump OT at #5 if Milliner is gone. Jarvis Jones or Jordan or Ansah could be the pick if they think they can find a RT in the 2nd and play Reiff at LT.
Im glad the Cards selected G.Smith instead of picking a OT or G. Love them having a horrific O-line.
I like the Jarvis Jones pick to the Browns. All season long he was arguably the LB with the biggest presence in the country. Lombardi over the years strikes me as a guy who goes for the big name players. Furthermore, where does Manti Te'o get selected?
32 to the Ravens at worst. They need a leader and have holes at both ILB spots
Whoa, big suprise there with the Titans. Grabbing Cooper over Warmack. I know some people think Cooper is as good as or better then Warmack but still surperising to see him go at #10.
Nothing too surprising so far. Nice mix of offense and defense, and no early runs on any position other than OT (which is not unusual).
I think things are going to start getting interesting, though...
