    Re: The 2014 ClanRam Voting Mock Draft (Post-Combine Ed.)

    Arizona needs OT worst, but I think they use their large cap room to get one in FA. Their next needs are CB and OLB, especially if Dansby leaves again.

    This seems early for Verett or Roby, the next CB, or Pryor, the next safety.

    They run a 3-4, so that means the 4-3 DE like Ealy who fit here, are out.
    Hageman could play DE in a 3-4, but it's early for him too I think. Nix fits, but aren't they OK with their NT on that top defense?

    If the guy I am choosing is there, it would be hard to pass for Arizona.

    That player is TE E. Ebron

    The Cardinals haven't had a productive tight end in a long long time, and with Carson Palmer, you have a QB , like Tom Brady, t at can really use a great TE.

    Only one TE is signed this year, Rob Housler, who led the team with under 500 yds, and caught just a single TD pass. They had three total from all their TE.

    Many have Ebron now as a top 10 pick, after a terrific combine wher e he looked like the only first round TE, and way better than the next group of three.

    So, as a former fan who remembers Jackie Smith putting up monster WR like numbers before any other TE did, my pick is 100%, without reservation TE E. Ebron

    Bruce Arians is on record as saying he prefers his tight ends to block first, catch second. While Ebron is among the best players available, I'm not convinced he fills that role very well.

    Instead, I'm going to go with a guy who, if he doesn't go here, is going to come off the board very quickly after this - Auburn pass rusher Dee Ford.

    Ebron is no Jace Amaro. Scouts call him a "capable" blocker. Ford will no doubt be in their sights as well.

    Also Ariens probably said that last year, when he HAD no TE.

    In Indy he had Fleener and Dwayne Allen had 71 catches for 860 yds and 5 TD.

    In Pittsburgh he had Heath Miller catching 264 passes in his time there as OC

    Seems like his offense likes receiving TE just fine. He and Housler form a dynamic duo that also can help the running game ariens says he will use more.

    I'm going Ebron also. They really need an OT but there's really no one worth grabbing at this spot and I think they'll eventually find someone in FA.

    Eric Ebron - 2
    Dee Ford - 1

    Wow ... this was one of the fastest growing threads I've seen here, ever -- it is going to be one exciting draft this year!

    * Rams needs
    * Players available
    * Selection opportunities!

    All the best to our F.O. to build for this 2014 season and beyond.

    The Packers, crushed by the top TE being gone, now look to their other needs. safety and linebacker.
    They also may need DT if Pickett and Raji are let go.

    Green Bay will go for BPA available. and tight now, that seems to be DT Louis Nix

    Green Bay goes with Pryor, they need a Safety almost as bad as the Rams do

    Nix to the Packers. Let them build a tandem of promising DL similar to those found in New York with Richardson and Wilkerson. Nix and Raji? Nix is the pick.

    Philadelphia: Calvin Pryor, Louisville.
