Watkins, Patterson, Peterson, and Jennings would give them an explosive offense… if they only had a good QB though

Gilbert was the guy to me, if Watkins had not fallen, as he did here, hence my pick. And I though I was the anti-Watkins on here . Are y'all just hoping he falls to the Rams? If he does, the mock has been bogus

Not sure Carr, a real system QB, is the guy for Minny that early. wouldn't start year one

I could see them filling in with a McCown type

I don't think there's any reason to question the motives behind people participating in this mock. So let's nip that in the bud.

Personally, I voted for Gilbert over Watkins because new Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has a defensive background, specifically having spent a number of years as a DB coach in Dallas, and realizes he has maybe two starting DBs on his roster.

Watkins is a fine choice as well, certainly has the value argument in his favor. I think his impact would be hindered by QB play, though. It's hard to assume what they'll do in free agency, and this is a deep WR class.

As i said, Gilbert is quite possible in these circumstances

Sorry, but one way off pick can really trash the entire first round. I'll try to quash my draftnik instincts.
We would be the ONLY mock to have Carr going 8th at this point in the process, that's all I'll say, with all due respect of course..

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikings go that way, but I do think it would be hard for them to pass Watkins if he's available. Pairing him with Patterson, with Peterson in the backfield, would make for an impressive unit.

And i won't take it personally if someone says my pick doesn't make sense value or need wise, if it's based on some info. That's what makes this all fun. I might even change my mind

I just went with Carr because it seems like QB play is the only thing holding this team back. I can also see them going CB too, but I think Carr has the tools to be a good one.

I like Carr in round two, but he has too many questions, like Christian Ponder for the Vikes to make that error again.

Sure, as long as the voting is open.

So that locks it up for Gilbert to the Vikings.

Buffalo is on the clock. I think they'll salivate if Watkins is there, so he's got my vote.

Buffalo takes one second to take Watkins

I am really high on Gilbert though, and I would even take him over Watkins for the Rams.

BEcause of hios hard it is to get long shutdown corners with KR ability.

I got the Lions picking Taylor Lewan over Darqueze Dennard out of their own back yard and over a safety They move Reiff to RT, and Stafford gets protected. Lean's combine was just too good for them to pas on the next Jake Long
