Also, Barr is the ONLY top tier player left on the board.

    You're forgetting Jarvis Jones.

Having said that, I do think the Steelers will be looking for OLB help this offseason, so Barr is a good option.

The Steelers depth chart on ESPN had Jones as a backup to Worilds and Carter. Jones had one sack this year.

They could move Jones INSIDE, as he has the size to play there

ESPN Depth Charts are probably just left over from the end of last year. For instance, their Rams depth chart doesn't include Jake Long or Sam Bradford. My guess is that the Steelers are counting on Jarvis Jones to emerge as a starter at OLB; the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said as much in January. I wouldn't be shocked to see Pittsburgh cut Woodley to free up the money to retain Worilds. Then, with Worilds and Jones, they'd be fine there.

Not sure about fine based on Jones 2013. He just doesn't have the pass rush, that was his knock in college coming out. As I said, he can play inside, probably better than outside. I always saw him as a situational 4-3 OLB or inside ina 3-4.

Just don't see the Steelers passing ona clear top tier player for a second tier one. They just don't do that in the NFL. Not in round one.

NFL.COM has Jones as backup as well

Ourlads still has Jones and Woodley, doesn't have Worilds, cause he is a FA. IF They could let him walk and get Barr I think they would..

I think Nix, Pryor, or Dennard could be the Steelers guy, or a WR like Lee or Benjamin, but IF Barr fell THAT far,a guy assumed to be a top 10 guy, even top 6, all off-season, who falls only because he IS a 3-4 OLB prototype, I can't pass if I am Pitt.

Re: The 2014 ClanRam Voting Mock Draft (Post-Combine Ed.)

The Steelers brought Joey Porter onto the staff as a defensive assistant, and have publicly talked about how he's going to work with Jones. I doubt it's at the ILB position. You might think he's a better fit at ILB, but I've seen no evidence that the Steelers feel the same way. All indications is they expect him to take a big step forward in 2014, and likely as a starter at OLB, regardless of what outdated depth charts say now.

I don't disagree that Barr is an option, but I don't think he's the no-brainer value he used to be. For instance, Todd McShay's latest big board has Barr ranked 28th. It's pretty clear his stock is not what it used to be at the start of this process, as evident by the fact that he's even an option in this mock right now.

Re: The 2014 ClanRam Voting Mock Draft (Post-Combine Ed.)

I think the reason barr dropped is more about the fact that he cannot play 4-3 OLB and DE, so that limits him to the 3-4 teams, of which there are not many early in this draft.

Also the Steelers have NEVER been a "need first" team. The always have liked OL taking 5 in round one since 1998. They also like DL and LB, so who knows

I'll throw in for Dennard to the Steelers as well. I think Ike Taylor is like 83 or something now.

Re: The 2014 ClanRam Voting Mock Draft (Post-Combine Ed.)

    That's three for Dennard.

The Cowboys need a pass rusher, and even hough they play 4-3, they will fin a way to use A Barr, like they did Ware, who looks like he's a goner.

So I have Dallas passing on Pryor, Roby/Verrett, and K.Ealy/D. Ford,

    AND TAKING A. Barr

Anthony Barr to the Cowboys. I think Jerry will make the choice based on Barr's skill set and size.

I'll make it three for Barr to the Cowboys.

    Baltimore on the clock!

My vote for the Ravens is Notre Dame OT Zack Martin. He could fill the impending hole left at right tackle by Michael Oher, or slide inside and boost their talent at guard.

I second what Nick said, BAL needs OL help quick and Zack Martin gives them that

    Zack Martin - 2

I am going to give the Ravens Marqise Lee. They don't have much to speak of at WR outside of Torrey Smith and it showed last season.
