2007 Rams Mock Draft

Trade: The St. Louis Rams trade 1[13], 3[84] and OG Claude Terrell to the Washington Redskins for 1[6] and WR Mike Espy.

The St. Louis Rams trade CB Jemetrius Butler to the Baltimore Ravens for 5[169].

1[6] DT Amobi Okoye [Louisville]

The Rams make a bold move in trading up with the Redskins to secure one of the top two defensive players in the draft. Okoye also happens to fill a huge need along the interior defensive line. The combination of strength and speed with Okoye’s young age [19] and work ethic make him a dynamic player.



2[52] DE LaMarr Woodley [Michigan]

Woodley may lack the ideal size for a DE [6’1 268lbs.] but he makes up for it with size and intensity. Woodley would immediately upgrade the Rams pass rush and take some pressure off of Leonard Little.



4. RB Chris Henry [Arizona]

Henry brings great size and speed to a backfield already full of both. He will help Steven Jackson stay fresh and wear down defenses.



5. OT Mike Otto [Purdue]

Otto is versatile OG/OT with good size [6’5” 300lbs.] and will fill a back up role with Stussie, McCollum and Goldberg.



5. CB/S C.J Gaddis [Clemson]

Gaddis fills the void at CB where he has great size [6’1 205lbs] and at S where he has great speed [4.45/ 40]



6. WR/KR Ryne Robinson [Miami Ohio]

The Rams want a boost to the return game and Robinson, who does not have the size to play every down, will provide just that.



7. Forfitted in the signing of P Donnie Jones.

7. LB Oscar Lua [USC]

Lua may be one dimensional but he is 240lbs. and can lead on special teams.



7. NT Conrad Bolston [Maryland]

Bolston is a true NT having played it in the 3-4 defense.

I'm not sure Okoye is top 2 Defensive. He's a nice choice for 3 or four, but at this point, I'd have Adams and Landry ahead.

Rams need Dline halp more than anything and you have Landry ahead of someone that could solidfy your DT problems for more than a decade?!?

Safeties are easy to draft. DT is one of the hardest postitions to draft in football.

Although I would rather amobi drop to 13, I really hope we get him like the idea of a woodley pick up too. One of my recent fav's from U of M and it seemed like he was always making a big play, alot more than branch in my opinion.
