Why would we take him at five when their is chance he will be there at 11. And if we were to trade up wouldnt we take maybe Hawk or Williams, or maybe even huff

If the Rams trade up, I would suspect it would be for A.J. Hawk. I'm not sure why we should trade up for Davis. And the Packers would likely demand more compensation.

Also, I think we would also benefit from addressing our need at DT earlier than the seventh round, but overall it's a good mock. We'd come out of this with quite a bit of good young talent. I like the Clint Ingram pick in the fourth, because I think he's somewhat underrated.

Dude what do you have against me? You seem to think I have something against everything lately. I have nothing against aj hawk. Its just my opinion yes it may be strange to some but its my opinion.

I am with both nick and the big bison on this. First, no way are you going from the 11 to the 5 by swapping a 2 for a 3. Second, if you want to get up to the 5, it HAS to be to take hawk or williams, most likely hawk. We have FAR too many defensive needs to be trading up to take offense. You want to make an argument that we should take davis if he is around at 11, i dont agree, but at least i can appreciate the point. However, giving up a day one pick to take a tight end when we had the 30th ranked defense in the nfl last year and uncertainty on defense in many areas makes no sense at all to me.

I understand your concerns GC but we have improved the defense with the free agent signings I agree if you move up to 5 you take hawk or williams if available but if davies falls to 11 and huff has gone you got to take davies he would be too good to pass up I think we only need to trade up to 9 to get huff

If we found ourselves with the 5th pick, there is no way on Earth that the Rams walk away without Mario Williams or AJ Hawk. Its the only reason to trade up that far.

i would take davis at #11 but if we trade up to #5 you have to take hawk if hes there.
