4.8.06 Rams mock
Its been 2 days since my last mock so here is one. I know you guys are getting sick of them but I have fun doing them.
Lets get started
Round 1: Michael Huff CB/S Texas
Reason: The Rams are in serious need of some DBs right now both Cornerbacks and Safeties. There star CB last season Jerametrious Butler was injured all last season and there what was thought solid CB Fisher sucekd and thn was hurt. Huff with his 4.33 speed can definately play Cornerback. Good size for it too 6'1" 205lbs. He can also play safety where he could start if Chavous moves to Strong Safety. But right now his best bet is CB. In the Future Bartell and Huff at CBs and Atogwe and possibly Carter at SS is one heck of a Defensive backfield!

Round 2: Marcedes Lewis TE U.C.L.A
Reason: The Rams are in bad need of a great Tight End who can catch and solidly block. The Rams drafted Brandon Manumaleuna and Cameron Cleeland to be those guys under Martz but Manu can't run after the catch and has bad ball carrying ability. Lewis would be a great fit for Linehan and his offense because of his tight end usage in his offense.

Round 3: Jamar Williams OLB Arizona State
Reason: The Rams signed LB Will Witherspoon to play the MLB position and have Pisa Tinoisamoa to play WLB. The Rams therefore need a Natural Strongside Linebacker and Williams fits that. His only negative is he doesn't have ideal speed. But he is "A fiery leader and bulldog worker. Slips blocks, takes solid pursit angles and hits hard." He has good size bulk and strenght for that position.

Round 4: Marcus Maxey CB Miami U

Round 5: Manaia Brown DT BYU

Round 6: Terna Nande LB Miami (Ohio)

Round 7: Glenn Holt WR/KR/PR Kentucky

Round 7: Jayme Mitchell DE Mississippi

Round 7: Clinton Solomon WR Iowa

Re: 4.8.06 Rams mock
i like this. Have you considered an NFL mock with similar analysis to each team as in all of your Ram drafts?

Huff in the first is great. Hopefully we're that lucky in the real draft. I think Williams on the first day is a bit too high for him. Maybe early on Day Two. If Nande is there in the sixth, he'd be a good selection. I don't like two WRs in the seventh though. There are other areas we could still address at that point. Lewis in the second is growing on me, but I'm still rather concerned about his in-line blocking. Value may weigh out on that one though. Overall, pretty good.

That Defensive Tackle from BYU. I'd use one of those late round picks (supplemental) to take him based on the picture alone!

And I agree, we need a Guard on Center.
I keep hoping that Max-Jean Giles lasts until our 2nd pick. Linehan had big Behemouths like him
on the OL in Minnesota.

Re: 4.8.06 Rams mock
Albert Young. He is going to do great things. They are comparing him to a more powerful Marshall Faulk. My favorite player in college football is Albert Young.
