After the Alabama game
I have decided that we really need that OT look what happened to Bama when they don't have Smith.

They also lost the backup. I'm 100% positive this wasn't his fault.

Re: After the Alabama game
Bama sure looked like a different team last night. It wasnt only smith of course, but they certainly were exposed at the left tackle spot. Its like the Rams at their peak without Pace.

Re: After the Alabama game
You are absolutely right. We need a new offensive tackle on this team.
Pace is: old, injury prone, slowing down, ready to retire.
Barron is: Stupid
We could definitely use the new franchise tackle. Smith it is.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Re: After the Alabama game
I don't understand that it wasn't Smith's fault that he was suspended!! This was the biggest game of the year and he was suspended. Oher is the next franchise OT for the Rams!!!

Re: After the Alabama game
Actually it wasn't. Alabama's biggest game was the SEC championship game, which had a trip to the mythical national championship game on the line. This, like every Bowl except the MNC game, was a glorified exhibition game, and as a result, really wasn't that important to play in.

Re: After the Alabama game
sick of getting lineman theres lots of good tackles in the later rounds dont waste the #2 pick on a lineman we need a superstar time to trade bulger and get a new face at the qb spot

Re: After the Alabama game
Did you watch the Rams play a down this season? We got killed up front and the quickest way to fixing that is with the best available lineman, not by taking a punt on a late rounder. Pace is old, Barron is, as someone above stated so perfectly, "stupid", and if you're willing to bet the bank on Goldberg you're a either brave, brave man, a problem gambler or both.
We're going to receive very little in return for Bulger due to his salary and a lot of the poor play you saw this season was because he had no time to throw. A "new face" isn't going to fix that. And don't bother citing Atlanta or Baltimore as places where 'new faces' have led to success. Markedly improved OL play has inadvertently allowed the rookies in said scenarios to shine.

Re: After the Alabama game
Rams have to go OT. Who it is is going to be verry interesting. There are 5 bonified first round tackle prospects ( Michael Oher, Eugen Monrore, Andre Smith, Eben Britton, Jason Smith) and thats alot and there could be more. This OT is already stacked and all the Juniors haven't even declared yet. There are still guys like Ciron Black, Fenuki Tupou, Troy Kropog, Trent Williams, Phil Loadholt, Sam Young, and William Beatyy that could be found in the second round. This class is stacked at takcle our problem is it might not be worth our while to look at a different position with the second overall pick and a trade is nearly impossible.
Anyways Seasn Smith CB Utah has been impressive all year and shutdown Jones. This guy has great size 6-3 and is a great lockdown corner he reminds me alot of antonio cromartie he is the prospect to look at from that game
