Albert Hayesworth?
It would be easy to dismiss this idea, but I'm not so sure that is isn't worth considering.Fisher: Rams have discussed adding HaynesworthPosted by Gregg Rosenthal on February 24, 2012, 11:35 AM EST
Rams coach Jeff Fisher is thinking about a reunion with one of his most infamous former players.
Fisher says the Rams have discussed signing defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth. It’s Fisher’s job to “discuss” just about anyone, but he sounded very open to the possibility of adding the former Titan. (And former Redskin. And former Patriot. And former Buc.)
We highly doubt many teams will show any interest in Haynesworth this offseason. If Fisher wants Haynesworth and he’s willing to play for a low salary, the Rams can have him.
The obvious caveat is that Haynesworth would have to be willing to come in for a minimal guaranteed contract (probably with lots of incentives). If he agreed to do so, there would be two possible outcomes: (1) he would recognize that this is his last chance, get himself into good shape, and return to his prior form (which was Pro Bowl level), or (2) he continues to be an underachiever and the Rams cut ties with him.
Given his age (he'll be 31 in June), his history with Jeff Fisher, his preference/fit in a 4-3 scheme, and the Rams' need at DT, I'm thinking this might be one of those "its just so crazy it might work" ideas.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Minimal contract and he knows it is a rotational postion (not 3 downs) then it may be worth a shot....just hard to justify after team after team doesn't re-sign him for peanuts even ?

Re: Albert Hayesworth?
Fisher was the only coach who got anything decent out of Haynesworth. Heck even Belicheat couldn't get anything. Maybe worth a shot, that attitude though is very problematic for me. If the salary is small, it would probably be small risk though.

I'll take Haynesworth over Da'rell Scott 9 times and 14 times on Sunday. The absolute worst is depth, and if we're lucky he will go back to his pro bowl days.
