I'd rather have the 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year than a guy who has yet to live up to the pre-draft hype. His contract is a concern, but I think a large chunk of it was signing bonus, for which the Skins would still be on the hook. I'm not entirely certain about that, though.
As far as the whole attitude thing goes, I don't see it as such a problem that a Pro Bowler as a one-gap penetrator is unhappy about being deployed as a 3-4 nose tackle. That's kind of like asking a Pro Bowl runningback to accept a role as a blocking fullback. The key to Spags' defensive success in NY was pressure, and that's what Fat Albert would give us in spades.
