I think nick is briliant at this, but for the most part, we have a lot of people on this board that truly believe that they have a level of expertise that allows them to know as much as the professionals just because they see a guy play a few times, watch some highlights, or listen to kiper or maycock tell people who is moving up and down, a lot of which is pure crap based on misinformation put out by the teams.
Gosh GC, this is akin to telling little kids there's no such thing as Santa Claus .. why'd you have to burst our bubble .. spoil sport ...

The comparison to pace and thomas was illustrative, not literal. Put simply, if you view curry as a franchise quality linebacker, as most see to do, to pick a player at another position, that player has to be franchise quality. I am not suggesting that to take a tackle he has to be orlando pace, only making the point that if you have a super stud linebacker available to you and linebacker is a position of need, you dont take a good, but non-superstud guy at another position. I dont think we are really disagreeing on this. I am really endorsing curry, more so than criticizing monroe.

I see it going down to Jason Smith OT, Michael Oher OT, Aaron Curry LB, and Eugene Monroe OT as the #2 pick in the draft.

    Am I wrong?

I addressed the board months ago concerning Andre and how we do not need to make that selection at #2.

However at this point in time it comes down to Oher, Curry, and Crabtree all 3 look solid even with Crabtree being hurt, guess we'll have to see how he looks during Texas Tech's pro day.

Ive said many times here he should never have been. From the moment I saw a picture of him my first thought was 15,000 a day low quality calorie diet man.
