Anychance Cyprien will be available at 71?

The fact he is the best safety left makes me say no. What do you guys think?

If he somehow, miraculously, makes it there. I would be the happiest person. As you might know, I think Cyprien is the best Safety in the draft!

    If not, Swearinger or Rambo?

Cyprien won't make it to us, but Swearinger should.

I'd expect Rambo or Thomas to be there at 71.

With a name like Baccari RAMBO starting for the RAMS, how could it go wrong?

    No.

Swearinger was getting 1st round attentions as well. He'll be gone.

My hope is for Phillip Thomas as a good FS to pair with Stewart. I heard Rambo talk at the Senior Bowl and he sounded absolutely stupid. I'm sure he plays better and maybe he was just tired, but if he can't describe what he does wth even basic English, I don't want him doing it for my team, just saying.
    I believe!

Anything could happen, but Cyprien did solidify himself as a top 5 Safety in the class with his combine and post-season all star games so it's doubtful he lasts. Swearinger and Shamarko Thomas are worthy picks in the third round. Swearinger plays under control for a safety, while Thomas could be the exact opposite at times. Both can make the big hit at the line of scrimmage as well without being too inconsistent in pass coverage. In my opinion I'd rather pass on guys like Rambo and Phillip Thomas, both need plenty of room to grow in the NFL.

The bottom line is that, while Cyprien probably won't make it to the Rams' third round pick, there are still many intriguing safeties to choose from: Philip Thomas, Swearinger, Rambo, Wilcox, Shamarko Thomas, Duke Williams, Josh Evans, heck even Tony Jefferson or T.J. McDonald.

Depends on who the Rams brass like. If they like someone like Cyprien, they could trade one of our 3rd round picks, as well as one of our 6th round picks, and move up to the 2nd round.

That is another hugee question for me.

I was really wondering what that would cost. Say, he is still available at 40-43, what would that cost us to move there?

It wouldn't be two 3rds would it?

Even then. At the end of the day, we would be moving up to 8 and down to 28, and just losing our 3rd rounder. Not to mention moving up in the 2nd round. I might not mind.

I'd be very surprised if it cost that little. Put yourself in the other team's shoes - would you drop 15-30 spots from the second to third round for just a sixth round pick?

I was thinking later 2nd round (50-64), but probably still a no. I think this was planned greatly by Fisher and Snead anyways. I think they strategically planned this two 3rd rounder connundrum, expecting to take a RB (Lattimore?) and a S (Whoever they like most, Shamarko, Phillipp, Swearinger?).

    Any chance? None.

If Safety is the pick at #71, then one of the two Thomas' might be doable.

My sentiments exactly. I really see this as best Safety available at 71. And try to see Lattimore at 92. Fisher can do fine with later round OLs anyway. Plus I think Rok will be a starter. Just gotta find dahls replacement. But we have a year for that.

TJ MCDONALD would be a stud for us with a 4th round pick. I'm a die hard USC fan, MCdonald was all over the field last season but their scheme did not fit his strong suits.

Fisher was a DB at USC so you never know...
